On March 22, 2024, her latest film, Swatantra Veer Savarkar, co-starring Randeep Hooda hit the theatres.
Thus, a special premiere of Swatantra Veer Savarkar was held late at night on March 21, 2024. Now, a video from the same event, featuring Ankita Lokhanda is going viral on social media. In the video, Ankita was seen getting agitated as paps were found entering her latest movie's premiere hall. Ankita got angry on them as she came out and showed her disappointment by saying, "Film chalrhi hai, bahar chaliye please. This is not right yaar, this is really not done. Film chal rhi hai. Thodasa rakhlo yaar. Kya baat hain ye." Then, she slammed the doors on their face and went inside.

For the special premiere of her film, Ankita looked gorgeous in a floral-printed red-hued chiffon saree that featured a shimmery border. She teamed her saree with a shimmery blouse with a plunging neckline and a pair of danglers. Moreover, she opted for glam makeup, including highlighted cheeks, winged eyeliner, and glossy lips, and kept her hair side-parted and open.
Soon after Ankita's video was posted on Instagram, netizens started strongly reacting to it. While one user mentioned, "Iski overacting k paise kato re...." another penned, "Bahut hi engry women hai ye I hate you". However, another section of netizens supported the actress for behaving in such a manner with the paps. One comment can be read as "Ankita is absolutely right! the film is screening and media ppl are not respecting this!"

On February 28, 2024, Ankita Lokhande met her Bigg Boss 17 co-contestant, Mannara Chopra at an award show. For the unknown, Mannara and Ankita both were involved in a lots of battles of word while being inside the reality show, now they seemed to have become cordial and was seen greeting each other with a pinch of salt. Both looked gorgeous in their respective outfits and were seen posing with their awards in front of the paps. At that time, Ankita was seen flaunting her 'Couple Of The Year Award'. However, Mannara replied jokingly, "Wow, but where is your couple?" Soon, the video started circulating online, and following this, netizens flooded the comment section talking about Ankita's insecurity. A few others also praised Mannara for handling the situation in her own style.
