Bigg Boss 17 fans are in for a treat as Vicky Jain's mother, Ranjana Jain, entered the house during the family week. Keeping up with her image of being a typical mother-in-law, Ranjana left no stone unturned to slam her bahu, Ankita Lokhande. As the episode was aired on national television, netizens claimed that Ranjana is going to give tough competition to Ankita's on-screen mother-in-law, 'Savita Deshmukh', from Pavitra Rishta.
As Ranjana Jain graced the BB house, she impressed people with some of her humorous lines. However, her behaviour towards her bahu, Ankita Lokhande didn't go down well with the fans. Ranjana told Ankita that their family did not like some of the things she said to her husband, Vicky Jain, on the show. Being somewhat dominating, she also slammed Ankita for forgetting who she's married to and told her how they called up the actress' mother, Vandana after she hit Vicky on the show.

Now, an X user compared Ankita Lokhande's mother-in-law, Ranjana Jain, with the character of the actress' on-screen saas, 'Savita Deshmukh' from Pavitra Rishta. The unusual comparison left people cracking up, and they reacted to the same. However, many users also claimed that Ankita Lokhande is no real-life 'Archana'. Meanwhile, a netizen also commented that Ankita might not talk about Sushant Singh Rajput ever again on Bigg Boss 17, courtesy of the backlash she received from her MIL.
Earlier, in an interview with Saas Bahu Aur Saajish, Ankita Lokhande's mother-in-law, Ranjana Jain shared that even though the former is a good daughter-in-law, her repeated fights and arguments with Vicky Jain often worry her. When Ranjana was asked about her views on Ankita hitting Vicky on the show, the former shared that in India, husbands are considered God and are treated with respect. She further added that Vicky has given leverage to Ankita and has allowed the latter to talk to anyone inside the BB house. However, Ankita gets upset when her husband talks to others.

Meanwhile, in a conversation with Pinkvilla, Vicky Jain's mother, Ranjana Jain was asked about Ankita hitting her husband with a slipper. To this, Ranjana mentioned that the duo told her that it was all just for fun and condemned Ankita's behaviour as a wife to her husband. Ranjana was further asked about Vicky's slap gesture for Ankita inside the BB house, she said that it was shown differently on national television. She also mentioned that Vicky was pissed with Ankita's constant interference, so he angrily got out of the blanket. However, the scene was cut in a way that it looked like he was about to hit her.
