Ankita Lokhande recently graced the controversial show, Bigg Boss 17, along with her husband, Vicky Jain. During her stint in the show, Ankita often recalled the fond memories of her ex-beau, Sushant Singh Rajput. For the unversed, Ankita was in a very public relationship with Sushant, and the duo dated each other for about seven years before calling it quits in 2016. Ankita once revealed that Sushant suddenly disappeared from her life after their breakup, and it took her two and a half years to move on.
On February 5, 2024, Ankita Lokhande took to her IG handle and shared the sad news of the demise of her pet dog, Scotch. She shared a picture of her furry pet sitting on a couch and penned a heartfelt note. For the unversed, it was Sushant Singh Rajput who gifted the dog to Ankita while they were dating each other. Her note can be read as:
“Hey buddy, mamma will miss you so much. Rest in peace scotch.”

Earlier, Ankita Lokhande sat for an interview with Siddharth Kannan, wherein she was asked about why she talked a lot about Sushant Singh Rajput inside the Bigg Boss 17 house. Responding to the same, Ankita shared that she finds a lot of good things to say about Sushant, as the latter had been the kind of person, who exists in everyone's life, even after his death. Elaborating more on it, Ankita stated:
"When I speak about Sushant, I wonder there are a lot of nice things to tell about him. So why not? Sushant is that person in our life who somewhere still exists. We have common friends, we speak about him. There is nothing wrong if someone wants to know about him, consider him as an idol.”
In an interview with Saas Bahu Aur Saajish, Ankita Lokhande's mother-in-law, Ranjana Jain accused her of trying to gain sympathy by using Sushant Singh Rajput’s name and stated that the latter did a lot of great work when he was alive. She said:
"Sympathy jata rahi hai aisa lagta hai Ankita apne liye. Sushant ko kya padha hai, vo to chala hi gaya hai bechara. Wo tha jabhi bator ke le gaya, kitne achchhe achchhe kaam kiye usne."

Earlier, Vandana Lokhande appeared on Galatta India's YouTube channel and revealed several unheard details from her daughter, Ankita's life. She revealed that Ankita has lived with Sushant for seven long years, and moving on from a relationship of such strata is not easy. Vandana also revealed that Ankita shares a close bond with all of Sushant's family members, so much so that his sisters, Rani and Shweta, to date, call her on a regular basis. She also divulged that Sushant's father is also in contact with Ankita, and they all treat her as their own daughter.
