Ankita Lokhande and Vicky Jain have been going through the roughest phase of their life inside Bigg Boss 17. From verbal spats to now their family being part of the whole drama, things have been tough for Ankita and Vicky, yet they are trying their best to sail through it. No matter what the reality is, fans are definitely not liking the way Vicky has treated his wife, Ankita. On top of it, his mother, Ranjana Jain's hateful interviews for their bahu, have added fuel to the fire.
Before entering the reality show, Bigg Boss 17, Ankita and Vicky won Star Plus' show, Smart Jodi. Recently, a video from the same has been trending on the internet, wherein Ankita expressed her feelings when she first saw the engagement ring. She was confused and asked her husband, Vicky what would her first reaction was. To which, Vicky instantly said:
"Lalach."

While others laughed at the comment, Ankita's face dropped as she didn't expect this statement from Vicky on national television. Further, Vicky stated that it was such a big ring that she instantly said she wanted it. However, till the end, Ankita looked lost.

As soon as the video was uploaded, netizens flooded the comments section. One user expressed that Vicky was trying to portray Ankita as a materialist person. Another one hinted how Vicky has been like this from the beginning. One netizen commented, "She looks so upset. Everyone is laughing at her." Another user wrote, "He confessed in Show, Ankita was an investment for him why couldn’t she understand this."
In the latest promo of Bigg Boss 17, we can see Karan Johar taking Vicky's class and scolding him for not standing behind his wife, Ankita. He added that it was wrong on his mother's part. And she can't say things just because she is older in age and relationship. He added at times, elders also make mistakes and hurt others. He said:
"Vicky National television par aapki maa Ankita ko aakar sawal puchti hai, tab ek pati hone ke naate apko unke peeche khade rehna chahiye tha. Jab kuch kaha-suni baatein hoti hai, bade hai bujurg hai, yeh bhi mai aadar unka karta hoon... Maine picture banai hai its all about loving your parents lekin mai yeh chaati thok kar yeh baat kehna chahunga ki bade hai bujurg hai, lekin unse bhi galtiya ho sakti hai."
Meanwhile, Ankita tried hard to control back her tears and was trying hard to avoid the conversation. Karan Johar also pointed how Ankita kept apologising to him and his mother for half an hour that night, and you just said, "Theek hai.." When Karan tried to point out his mother's behaviour towards Ankita, the actress interwined and requested him to stop. Karan calmed himself down and said:
"You know just for Ankita, I am not going to say it. And she said it, I saw it in her eyes, and I will respect you, and I will not say it."
Karan further school Vicky that he needed to stand for Ankita just the same way he stood for his friends in the show. KJo also stated that he is not asking him to fight for her, but you should have asked Ankita what happened and why she was feeling down and sad.

After Ankita's mother-in-law entered the show, an interview of her went viral, wherein she revealed that her family wasn't in favour of their son, Vicky to marry an actress. She also added that it takes a lot of effort to take care of an actress. In the clip that went viral, Vicky's mother made a mean remark and said:
"Heroino ko palna ho toh toh mehnat toh karni he padti hain, saralta se toh aa nahin jaati hain. Bahut nakhre hote hain aur bahut paisa bhi gavana padta hain. Tab nakhre poore hote hain".
However, Ankita's best friend, Rashami Desai penned a note. Rashami revealed that her close friend, Ankita, did this show for her husband, Vicky Jain's happiness. She also quoted her statement, 'kharche palna padta' and referred to Ankita as 'khara sona'. An excerpt from Rashami's angry note atop the video can be read as:
"And Kharche palna padta hai ka kya Matlab hua aunty???? They both had love marriage and usse pehle bhi wo road par nah thi. She's Ankita Lokhande. Bhale big boss aapke bete par paisa lagye. Ladki hamari bhi Khara Sona hai. Sab ki apni ladai hoti hai. Par aap nahi chahti inki shadi tike ?? Har Pati-patni main jhagde hote hai. Aur show bhi difficult hai. 2 din main aapke yeh haal hai. 4 mahine, nakalegi to aap taqleef samjhengi."
