Ankita Lokhande and Sushant Singh Rajput often used to send their fans into a frenzy with their loving on-screen as well as off-screen chemistry. For the unversed, Ankita and Sushant first met on the set of Pavitra Rishta, and later, they fell head-over-heels in love with one another. After being together for a couple of years, when everyone was waiting for the duo to announce their wedding, Ankita and Sushant left everyone shocked with their breakup. However, the investigation into his death mystery has been going on. After Sushant left the world, it was his ex-girlfriend, Ankita, who stayed like a strong pillar behind his family. Time and again, the actress has spoken about the actor. On his fourth death anniversary on June 14, 2024, the actress recalled the late actor, as she posted a wholesome photo of him on her IG handle. While being in Bigg Boss 17, Ankita spilled a lot of unheard anecdotes about Sushant Singh Rajput. For the same, the actress had become the target of trolls as people stated that she had been trying to gain sympathy by using the late actor's name. However, on Galatta India's YouTube channel, Ankita's mom, Vandana mentioned that her daughter had stayed with Sushant for seven long years and moving on had not been easy.
Vandana also added that Sushant's family shares a good bond with the actress, along with his sisters, Rani and Shweta. She also stated that they call Ankita on a regular basis, including Sushant's father and all of them treat the actress like their own daughter. Vandana added that Sushant was a very intelligent person.
