Annabelle doll, and how a demon is trapped within it

The Annabelle's story started in the 1970s when the giant raggedy doll was gifted to a 28-year-old Hartford nurse by her mother on her birthday. Initially, what seemed to be a simple doll soon turned into a cause of worry as it would move on its own. She would change her position on her own. Things turned bizarre when she and her roommate started finding parchment paper with little messages, 'Help me, help us.' However, they never had parchment paper in their home. Soon, the doll began appearing in different rooms. Not only this, at one point she was even seen leaking blood.

Things turned scary when a male guest at their home, who was sleeping over, woke up with the doll staring at him, and he felt someone was strangling him. It is reported that the girls took the help of a medium, and they found out a spirit of Annabelle Higgins, who was a young girl residing on the property before the apartments were built and died at the age of seven.

The spirit stated that she felt comfortable with the two roommates and they gave permission to Annabelle to inhabit the doll. It was the start of the worst. That's when Ed Warren and Lorraine Warren, paranormal experts, took interest in the case and contacted the women. They realised that the doll was possessed by an inhuman presence. And it wasn't just looking to stay attached to the doll; it was seeking a human host. The Warrens took the doll and took it to their home. Using holy water and a special glass box, they sealed it forever, and with a warning, 'positively, never to touch it'.

The late paranormal couple often warned that disturbing the doll could have serious consequences, as they said, 'Lock her away and never take her out.' But, in 2025, it was paraded across America, and with each stop, things turned weirder. The Doll was on the 'Devil's on The Run Tour', which began in May 2025, and Dan Rivera was the main organiser of the tour. Not only this, he was also the handler of the doll, and he passed away right after the show in his hotel room.
