It is worth noting that there is no information about the salary of the Indian cricket team for the ongoing T20 World Cup Super 8; however, BCCI, a few months ago divided the players into three grades and each one had a fixed annual salary base. According to a report by Cricket Counsel, Grade A players, which includes Shubman Gill, Ravindra Jadeja and Jasprit Bumrah earn an annual salary of Rs. 5 crore.
On the other hand, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Hardik Pandya, Rishabh Pant, Mohammed Siraj, Kuldeep Yadav, Suryakumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Washington Sundar come in Grade B category and charge Rs. 3 crore per year. Lastly, Grade C includes Axar Patel, Rinku Singh, Tilak Verma, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shivam Dube, Sanju Samson, Arshdeep Singh, Varun Chakaravarthy, Abhishek Sharma, Harshit Rana, Akash Deep, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Dhruv Jurel, Ravi Bishnoi and Prasidh Krishna earn around Rs. 1 crore.
Apart from the annual base salaries of Indian cricketers, the players also earn an extra amount per match they play. According to the same report by Cricket Counsel, players earn Rs. 15 lakh per Test Match. For an ODI Match, players earn Rs. 6 lakh per match. And for a T20 game, players earn Rs. 3 lakh per match. However, it is worth mentioning that this fee is only for the Playing XI. The non-playing squad members earn exactly half of this amount. If this is believed to be true, the Indian team might be earning Rs. 3 lakh in the ongoing T20 World Cup Super 8.

In addition to annual base salaries and fees per match of a cricketer, players also earn from IPL tournaments and brand collaborations. If reports are believed to be true, the Indian Premier League (IPL) is one of the biggest earning platforms. Some cricketers are even able to earn around Rs. 20 crore to Rs. 30 crore per season. Apart from this, players like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and more earn a huge amount of money from brand collaborations. It is also worth mentioning that ever since Virat and Rohit announced Test retirement, fans wait to see their glimpse in brands and IPL matches.
