Anunay Sood Died Of D**g Overdose In Las Vegas? Why Is The Coroner's Report Taking So Long?

Dubai-based travel influencer and photographer, Anunay Sood, left the entire country in shock after his family announced the heartbreaking news of his demise. He had a massive following on social media with 1.4 million followers on Instagram alone. However, unfortunately, his journey was cut short, and the influencer passed away. The curiosity around his demise continues to rise. And now, a report has surfaced online, leaving the world stunned.

Anunay Sood passed away due to d**g overdose?

According to a report by 8 News Now, a travel influencer (allegedly Anunay) was found dead inside a Las Vegas Strip hotel room earlier in November 2025. The Investigators for the publication believe that the influencer likely died from a d**g overdose. The report further stated that the officers found Anunay Sood, 32, deceased in a room at the Wynn Las Vegas on November 4, 2025. Additionally, the Police also located 'narcotics' in the room along with the influencer's body.

As we are all aware, the influencer was in Las Vegas for the Las Vegas Concours 2025, a car show, which he even mentioned in his last Instagram post. According to the documents retrieved by the publication, a woman who was staying with Anunay Sood told the police that she and the influencer bought what they believed to be c**aine from a man on the casino floor around 4 a.m. Anunay, the woman and another woman "proceeded to use the c**aine" and fell asleep. About an hour later, the women woke up to find Sood unresponsive.

In the same report, the investigators revealed that the officers on site found a small bag with an unknown white substance in the hotel room and other evidence that the group had snorted the powder. However, the official statement regarding the influencer's demise is still awaited. 

Why is the coroner's report taking so long?

It has already been over 14 days since Anunay Sood's untimely demise. However, the cause of death has not yet been confirmed. The reason behind this is that toxicology reports, which determine if a person died from a substance, can take months to process. For now, the Clark County coroner's office has listed Anunay Sood's cause and manner of death as pending in the days after his death. 

What did the Las Vegas police previously state?

Anunay Sood's death made shockwaves online on November 6, 2025, after his family shared the tragic news with his fans. However, the family has not shared the cause of death yet, and it was hours later, during a conversation with HT.com, that the Las Vegas Police Department shared an update. The LVMPD revealed that it was on November 4, 2025 (ET) when they received a call about a dead body. In a statement to the publication, the LVMPD stated:

"On November 4, 2025, LVMPD responded to a dead body located in the 3100 block of South Las Vegas Boulevard. Officers assisted the coroner and took a non-criminal/medical report."

The police representative also shared that the coroner has received the report and that there have been no further updates from the police or the coroner's office. While the cause of death remains unknown, his family and friends have requested privacy as they mourn his loss and have appealed to his followers to refrain from visiting or gathering near his residence. Anunay's mortal remains were brought back home on November 10, 2025, and his last rites took place on November 11, 2025, in Nodia.
