On August 27, 2020, Anupam Kher took to his Instagram handle and shared a monochromatic picture of his father, Pushkarnath Kher and mother, Dulari. In the picture, Anupam Kher's father can be seen sitting on a chair, holding a book, and his mother standing beside him. Sharing the picture, Anupam revealed that his father used to sing the song, Jane Woh Kaise Log The by Hemant Kumar after getting drunk. His caption can be read as:
"Pushpakar aur Dulari ki sadi k baad ki tasveer. Pitaji ji ke trunk se mili. Ek peg lagane ke baad pita ji aksar ye gana gungunate the."

On August 26, 2022, Anupam Kher wished his life partner, Kirron Kher, on their wedding anniversary. The Kashmir Files actor shared a vintage picture from their wedding and penned a special note for his loving wife, Kirron Kher. His note could be read as:
"Happy anniversary, dearest #kirron. Dug out this pic of our wedding 37 years ago from the Treasure Trunk of my father during my recent visit to Shimla! May God give you all the happiness, long and healthy life. Salgirha Mubarak ho!"

On March 31, 2022, Anupam Kher had shared the last picture with his father. Sharing the picture, the Beta actor revealed that his father passed away 11 days after the picture was taken. Calling his father the simplest soul on earth, Anupam Kher had written:
"This was my last pic with my father #PushkarNath Ji. He passed away after 11 days. The simplest soul on earth. Never hurt anybody. Touched everyone's life with his kindness. An ordinary man. But an extraordinary father. He longed to go to his home in Kashmir but couldn't! We miss him! My performance in #TheKashmirFiles is dedicated to him. #KashmiriHindu."
