Bengali composer-singer, Anupam Roy is known for his superhit songs, including Amake Amar Moto Thakte Dao, Tumi Jake Bhalobaso, and Journey Song, among others. He is on cloud nine as he is all set to tie the knot for the third time in his life, days after his second wife, Piya Chakraborty got married to Bengali actor, Parambrata Chattopadhyay. In her personal life, she was earlier married to Shounak Biswas. They had tied the knot in 2019 after dating each other for 8 years. For the unversed, Anupam and Prashmita once sang a duet, Tomay Nie Golpo Hok, from the movie, Highway, starring Parambrata Chattopadhyay. The movie was released in the year 2014. Later, in 2015, Prashmita was also spotted alongside Anupam in the music launch of the film, Bela Seshe. Thus, as per close sources of Anupam and Prashmita, they started bonding right from then. Moreover, Prashmita was also spotted hanging out with Anupam and his then-wife, Piya. Only after they parted from their previous partners did the two singers start dating a year ago, and now they have decided to take their relationship to the next level.
In an interview with OTT Play, Anupam and Prashmita revealed details about their intimate marriage and mentioned that it would only be a registry wedding. Adding to him, Prashmita mentioned that since both of them wanted to keep it simple, they didn't opt for a loud wedding. Moreover, she added, "These days no one is spared. I feel as long as we are happy, trolling will not affect us." And when Anupam was asked about his past relationships, he firmly answered:
"Nobody likes to delve into the past. No one does. We are starting a new life, and that’s all. We know our near and dear ones will wish us well and that’s great."
Much is not known about Anupam’s first wife, as he got married to her before he stepped into the world of glitz and glamour. Afterwards, he tied the knot for the second time in 2015 with a mental health activist and social worker, Piya Chakraborty. Soon, reports about troubles in their marriage started surfacing in the media. And unfortunately, on November 11, 2021, they announced their divorce jointly.

Piya Chakraborty recently tied the knot with acclaimed Bengali actor, Parambrata Chatterjee in November 2023. Soon after their low-key wedding ceremony, they took to their IG handles collaboratively on November 27, 2023, and dropped glimpses from the same. In the pictures, Piya and Parambrata were spotted sitting on a sofa at his residence as they signed the official documents for their marriage. Sharing the photos, Param penned a line from one of T.S. Eliot’s poems, The Love Song Of J Alfred Prufrock, which could be read as:
“Let us go then, you and I When the evening is spread out against the sky… This is it.”
