"Sometimes, I felt that someone is a certain way in front of us, but they aren’t the same behind our backs. A few times, I felt that things were not said in a very polished way about me and when I got to know, it hurt me. I was like ‘Why?’ Firstly, I have nothing against you, we are actors we work together. There were a couple of incidents where I was genuinely hurt."

Anupamaa producer, Rajan Shahi, slams an actor who had badmouthed Rupali Ganguly

In a recent interview with SCREEN, Anupamaa producer, Rajan Shahi slammed an actor who used to invite journalists to badmouth the show. In fact, the person also spoke ill of the lead actress. Rajan said that people do this to get attention and also because Rupali is a very soft target. He also mentioned that the actor later ran a smear campaign against the TV show. Recalling the moment, when he had thrown the actor out of the set, Rajan said:

"When people badmouth Rupali Ganguly, they will get covered in the media. I know an actor who used to invite journalists home to badmouth about Anupamaa. I had thrown him out of the set at 2:30 pm. There was an incident, and nobody knows about this, so I don’t want to talk much about this. After which, he ran a smear campaign against the show. Why didn’t you speak when you were a part of the show? Rupali is a very soft target; you will get attention if you talk about her."
