Sudhanshu Pandey has been a part of the entertainment industry for a long time, having tried his hand at modelling, music, acting and even reality TV. While we recently saw him in Karan Johar's The Traitors on Amazon Prime Video, where he made it to the finale, he made a mark in the industry with his phenomenal portrayal of 'Vanraj Shah' in Rupali Ganguly's Anupamaa. As the actor continues to grow in the industry, he has shared that his upbringing has kept him grounded over the years.
Sudhanshu Pandey recently sat for a conversation on Varinder Chawla's YouTube channel. It was during his chat that he was asked how he had managed to stay humble despite his success. To this, Sudhanshu responded by stating that for him, his background is his biggest strength. He revealed that he comes from an extremely humble middle-class background, which has kept him grounded and turned out to be his biggest strength. He was quoted as saying:
"I think the biggest strength for people like me is the background we come from, and that background is a very simple, middle-class background. I have always felt that has been my strength because I have known my reality. I know where I come from and where I belong."
Sudhanshu Pandey also shared that while his family lived in a massive mansion in Gorakhpur, their lifestyle has remained simple. During the conversation, Sudhanshu shared that his parents, originally from Uttarakhand, owned a 30-room haveli in Gorakhpur. He added that they used to have cows and everything on their estate, but still managed to live a simple lifestyle. He was quoted as saying:
"My parental house was in a place called Gorakhpur. We are originally from Uttarakhand, but my parents' house was in Gorakhpur, and it was a 30-room haveli. We used to have cows, so I came from that background. Yet, we were all middle-class simple people."
In the same conversation, Sudhanshu revealed that his parents played a huge role in who he is today. He shared that the simplicity instilled in him by his parents became his foundation. He added that today, that foundation has become so strong that he never gets shaken by whatever life throws at him. He was quoted as saying:
"The simplicity that came to me from my parents and our life was so basic and simple that that is what my foundation was. And I think because that foundation was so strong, it never let me get shaken up at any given point in life."
Sudhanshu Pandey began his career as a model before transitioning into films and television. He made his Bollywood debut with the 2000 film, Khiladi 420. He soon went on to appear in several films like Singh Is Kinng, Dus Kahaniyaan, Siyaasat, and Bypass Road.
