Rupali Ganguly has been grabbing the headlines due to her ugly spat with her stepdaughter, Esha Verma. For the unversed, a few weeks ago, an old post of Esha Verma made rounds on social media platforms, wherein she accused the Anupamaa actress of ruining her happy life and breaking her parents' marriage. Rupali is married to Ashwin K Verma, who was earlier married to Esha's mom, Sapna. Well, amid Esha sharing her side of the story, Rupali stepped in with Rs. 50 crore defamation case, which brought her a lot of flak. Amid this, Anupamaa producer, Rajan Shahi came in support of the actress.
Taking to his IG handle, Rajan Shahi dropped a photo with Rupali Ganguly along with a long note for the actress. On a long note, Rajan shared how Rupali inspires everyone in the team, and how her hard work has helped Anupamaa to create a history and set a benchmark. He further added that they all have witnessed how Rupali makes a whole lot of sacrifices and works dedicatedly with a smile on her face, thereby inspiring everyone around her. The producer further wished the Anupamaa actress the best and lauded her humility as an actress.

While conversing with Times Now, Pearl Grey shared that it happens when a child in a family finds it hard to accept his/her father's second marriage, and thus they end up hurting. She wondered if the case is the same with Esha Verma and added that the latter shouldn't have gone in public about the same. Pearl mentioned that it was okay if she was a child, but Esha is at such an age that she can easily understand that her father is happy with someone else, and thus, she should try to accept that. In Pearl's words:
"I feel this happens in families where the children find it hard to accept their father's second wife. If a child is saying this then she is hurting from inside. However, one shouldn't say all such things in public when they are of an age where they have brains. If she was a child then it would have been understandable but she is not. If your dad is happy with someone then you should accept that. This should also remain within the confines of your own family rather than going public."
Pearl Grey was further asked if she had talked to Rupali Ganguly about the same. Pearl answered that she hasn't talked to Rupali about the same, as it's a sensitive matter, but she's quite sure that the actress is handling the situation with dignity. She further added that it's not that common that a kid from a big city would feel lonely or wouldn't be able to accept their father's second marriage. Drawing an example of her personal life and split with her ex-husband, along with her child's condition, Pearl said:
"In today's time it is not common that children of big cities feel lonely or they haven't heard of such things happening. Take my daughter for example. Rajan and I are divorced but our daughter is happy. She feels that she is getting love from two houses. We raise her with a lot of love and respect."
While Rupali Ganguly was silent over all these allegations, she later replied with a Rs. 50 crore defamation case to Esha Verma. Following this, Esha deleted every post and even her Twitter account, wherein she shared her side of the story. Well, for the same reason, Rupali has been being bashed by netizens.
