Anurag Kashyap is one of the most hailed filmmakers in India who is famous for his futuristic and creative filmmaking skills. On the personal front, Anurag Kashyap has been married twice, first to Aarti Bajaj, with whom he has a daughter, Aaliyah Kashyap. And the second time with actress, Kalki Koechlin. Anurag's daughter, Aaliyah, got engaged to the love of her life, Shane Gregoire, on May 20, 2023, in Bali, and later, the duo had a lavish engagement ceremony in Mumbai. And now the couple are preparing for their extravagant wedding ceremonies.
Aaliyah hosts a weekly podcast, Young Dumb And Anxious, and this time around, she had her father as her guest. On the podcast, Aaliyah called out her dad for cancelling on her, as they were supposed to shoot the podcast a few weeks back. In his defence, Anurag Kashyap revealed that he has to work hard to pay the bills of his daughter's wedding.

Anurag elaborated that the wedding budget is equivalent to the budget of his 'low-budget' films, so he needs to keep working to pay the bills. It is important to note that everything here was said in a light-hearted tone, and the Daddy-Daughter duo was laughing around.
For the unversed, Aaliyah is currently 23 years old and will be getting married by the end of this year. Talking about the same, Aaliyah asked her father how he felt about her getting married so young, to which Anurag shared that he, too, got hitched at a very young age (24). The filmmaker added that he supports Aaliyah's decisions but is scared that she doesn't end up making the mistakes as he did, that is, getting married without having his finances and career plan sorted.

Marking a significant milestone in her life, on May 10, 2024, Aaliyah Kashyap took to her YouTube channel to share a momentous occasion: her first wedding outfit trial session. The designs for her special day are being crafted by none other than the renowned celebrity designer, Anita Dongre. Aaliyah even gave her fans a sneak peek, trying on a stunning green-hued lehenga, completes with a deep 'V' cut blouse, and a sheer embroidered jacket.
