Anushka Sharma is one of the most talented actresses in Bollywood. She made her acting debut with Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, alongside Shah Rukh Khan, and was last seen in the film, Zero. Anushka and her husband, Virat Kohli, were previously blessed with a baby girl, Vamika Sharma Kohli, and are reportedly expecting their second child. However, Virat and Anushka haven't addressed the ongoing speculations surrounding the actress' pregnancy, but they have been missing from the public sphere.
Recently, journalist, Abhishek Tripathi took to his Twitter handle and shared a tweet wherein he talked about Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli. He shared that AB de Villiers was right when he shared that Virat has taken a break from his professional front to be with his family. The post further mentioned that Anushka and her husband jetted off to abroad as the actress is facing some health problems. Abhishek added:
"Four things. A: What de Villiers said was right. Two: There are some problems due to which Virat decided to consult a doctor abroad and stay with the family. Third: He has decided to spend this time with his family after taking permission from BCCI. Fourth: We should wish them a happy future."

The post soon went viral on Reddit and several netizens reacted to the same. While some people slammed the journalist for not respecting Anushka's privacy, others expressed their concern for the actress. Reacting to the post, a user commented, "Wish her a speedy recovery. And healthy pregnancy." Another penned, "I hope they have a healthy delivery and that Anushka recovers soon from whatever is affecting her health. Most importantly, I hope they’re spared with all the unnecessary scrutiny and negativity."
On February 3, 2024, AB de Villiers shared a YouTube video and talked about Virat Kohli's absence from the Test Series, adding that everything was alright at the Indian cricketer's personal front. AB de Villiers further lauded Virat for prioritising his family and shared that the former India captain and his wife, Anushka Sharma were expecting their second child. He had said:
"Let me just see what he said. I just want to at least give you (fans) a little bit of love. So I wrote to him 'Been wanting to check in with you for a while now, biscuits. How are you?'. He said 'Just need to be with my family right now. I am doing well.'. Yes, his second child is on the way. Yes, it's family time and things are important to him. If you are not true and genuine to yourself, you lose track of what you are here for. I think most people's priority is family. You can't judge Virat for that."

However, later, in an interview with Dainik Bhaskar, AB de Villiers reacted to his old revelation and revealed that he shared false information. The cricketer added that he made a terrible mistake and wished the best of luck to Virat so that the latter can comeback stronger from the issues in his personal life. He was heard saying:
“Family comes first it’s the priority as I said on my YouTube channel, I made a terrible mistake at the same time, sharing false information, which was not true at all. I think whatever’s best for Virat’s family comes first. No one knows what’s happening there, all I can do is wish him well. Whatever the reason for his break, I hope he can comeback stronger, better and fresh from this.”
