Anushka Sharma Reacted Strongly To Her And Deepika Padukone's 'Cold War': 'I'm Here To Work And..'

Anushka Sharma is happily married to the Indian cricketer, Virat Kohli. However, once rumour mills were abuzz with the dating rumours with her Band Baja Baaraat co-star, Ranveer Singh. But neither of them has ever accepted or denied the same. Later, after being in a rumoured relationship, they allegedly parted ways and gradually moved on in life. Afterwards, Ranveer started dating Deepika Padukone, leading to rumours about a brawl between the two actresses.

Now, we stumbled upon a 2013 interview of Anushka Sharma with the Hindustan Times, wherein she can be heard reacting to the 'cold war' rumours of her with Deepika Padukone. Although the rumours were rife about a 'cold war' between them, they always spoke very highly of each other. In the interview, Anushka compared the rumours with the 'dominos effect' and mentioned that these are all cooked-up stories and nothing more. She elaborated:

“I have no problems with Deepika or anyone. I am here to work and not indulge into fights. I am happy with what I am doing and she would happy with her life. And all reports around us are false. It’s all like a dominos effect; just to cook up a story… there will be a series of lies to gossip about me. So basically its wrong the way women are perceived in this industry.”

Ranveer Singh once reacted to Anushka Sharma's presence at his wedding with Deepika Padukone

For the unversed, Anushka Sharma also attended Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s wedding reception in Mumbai in 2018. In fact, she was one of the first Bollywood celebrities to wish Ranveer and Deepika on their wedding. Ranveer had also thanked Anushka for making it to his wedding reception. In an old interview with Filmfare, Ranveer had said,

“It was very warm. It was really lovely. But for me it was very significant and very special that Anushka came.”

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone jointly appeared on the first episode of Karan Johar's chat show, Koffee With Karan 8. Therein, Ranveer also narrated the story when he met Deepika for the first time. Ranveer said that he was at Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s house for a reading of Ram Leela, and they all were waiting for Deepika to arrive. The moment the actress entered the room in a white chikankari outfit, the sea wind blew, and her hair started flying. However, netizens felt Ranveer had narrated the same story while revealing the story of meeting his ex-girlfriend, Anushka, and started bashing him.

Earlier, we stumbled upon an old video of Anushka, wherein Deepika had planted a kiss on her cheeks. However, it seemed that this gesture of Deepika left Anushka in an uncomfortable zone, but she kept smiling for the cameras. Soon after the video was shared on the discussion platform, Reddit, netizens started reacting to it. One social media user penned, "This is why deepika and Ranveer are made for each other." Another user mentioned, "Did I hear that correctly? she asked her "what are you doing"?"
