Anushka Sharma Expresses Pride After Her Husband, Virat Kohli Smashes His 53rd ODI Century

Virat Kohli has been grabbing a lot of attention after his recent century in the ongoing ODI match against South Africa. It is worth mentioning that it was Virat’s second consecutive century in the match and 53rd ODI century. While the entire nation is busy celebrating Virat’s game on field, all the attention has shifted towards Anushka, who recently appreciated her husband on social media. 

Anushka Sharma is all hearts for Virat Kohli

After Virat Kohli hit his 53rd ODI century during the ODI match against South Africa at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Stadium in Raipur, on December 3, 2025, he celebrated the milestone on the field by kissing his wedding ring and looking at the sky. However, a few hours later, his wife, Anushka Sharma took to her Instagram Stories and shared a photo of Virat's on-field celebration. 

In the photo, Virat was in a blue jersey, lifting his bat in one hand and his helmet in the other. The photo also featured the crowd, who was cheering as loud as they could for their cricket idol. Along with the photo, Anushka expressed her pride and happiness through a heart emoji. Her Story soon went viral and fans couldn't stop talking about it. 

Virat Kohli’s ODI game against South Africa

For those who don’t know, Virat hit his 53rd ODI century during the second ODI of the three-match series between India and South Africa. The match was held in Raipur on December 3, 2025. This was his second consecutive century in the ongoing ODI series. In the first match against South Africa, Virat Kohli smashed a total of 135 runs in 120 balls. His fierce game led the team to victory. Overall, this was Virat's 84th international century. With this, he has crossed the records of many players and is now behind Sachin Tendulkar, who has 100 centuries.

Virat Kohli has been one of the most loved, respected and celebrated cricketers of India. The icon is well known for his fierce and aggressive game on field. Over the years, he has impressed the audience with multiple centuries and outstanding fielding. In early 2025, he grabbed attention, when his IPL team, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) won for the first time in 18 years. Despite giving several good memories, Virat chose to retire from Test Cricket in May 2025.
