One of the cutest couples of the glamour world, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli are often tagged as the power couple. While the Indian skipper, Virat rules the cricket ground with his tremendous batting prowess, Anushka has been wining the hearts of millions with her stellar acting skills. Together, they not just make for a stunning couple, but their amazing careers are truly inspiring. During the initial years of their dating, Anushka and Virat had never accepted their relationship and had it under wraps. But her constant appearances at the cricket stands and Virat showering praises on Anushka were hints enough that the two were madly-in-love with each other.

On December 11, 2017, social media went frenzy when pictures of Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma’s intimate Tuscany wedding went viral. Anushka had looked ravishing in a light pink Sabyasachi lehenga with heavy jewellery and her prince charming, Virat had looked dapper in a light coloured sherwani. Their intimate wedding had taken place in the presence of close family and friends, away from the media. From their wedding looks to Anushka’s bridal entry, everything was royal, making it an exclusive wedding of the year. In February 2021, Anushka and Virat had embraced parenthood and had welcomed their baby girl, Vamika.
We recently stumbled upon a throwback interview of Anushka Sharma with Simi Garewal for her talk show, India’s Most Desirable. In the 2011 video, Anushka had talked about her idea of romance. When Simi had asked Anushka, if she is romantic, the stunning actress had replied, “What is a romantic? What do you like if you are romantic? For me, very small things matter. For me, if a guy is like, caring towards me, and he does it in a way that it comes out naturally for him, for me that is being romantic. He could, for example, if I am sick, pass me a medicine, or say, ‘You should have this’, without making a big deal; for me, that is more than enough.”
In 2020, Anushka had talked her idea of romance in an interview with Grazia India and it had not changed a bit in ten years. Revealing that she is into grand about romantic gestures at all, Anushka had said, “For me it’s the little things, it just being attentive, it’s been caring. If I am struggling to open a water bottle, without me realizing, just taking it from me and opening the bottle and giving it back to me like very nonchalantly while watching TV. I think these little things are way more romantic than big romantic gestures. I think just being a little attentive to one another by loving and caring and being supportive is enough and there is nothing more romantic than having a partner like that and I am glad that I do I do have one.”
It was during the shooting of a shampoo commercial, when Anushka and Virat had met for the first time. During a 2019 interview with American sports reporter, Graham Bensinger, Virat had recalled his first meeting with Anushka and his nervousness during the shoot. Talking about the same, Virat had said, “When I met her for the first time, I cracked a joke. I was just there - standing, being all nervous and jittery.”

In the same interview, Virat had told Graham that while shooting for the commercial, which had lasted for three days, they had realised that they have a lot in common. Revealing their similarities, Virat had said, “Our lives were going at the same pace but in totally different worlds. We came into the scene in the same year but we didn’t know each other until 2013. That is the year we met. Our lives have been so similar but in totally different worlds.”
Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli are head-over-heels in love with each other, but do you know, there was no official proposal. Yes, Virat had never proposed Anushka and the Indian skipper had revealed the same during one of his live chats with footballer, Sunil Chettri. During the interaction, Virat had said that there was never an official proposal and had stated, “We never felt like we needed to do that, we knew that we were going to marry each other, there were no doubts about it ever.”
