Apoorva Mukhija aka 'The Rebel Kid' has undergone a major shift in her life in last couple of months. After stirring controversy with her comments in India's Got Latent, she became a subject of people's hate and invited legal trouble. Amid the fiasco, the 23-year-old made a stellar comeback by sharing a special video where she apologised for her words. At the same time, she gave an honest insight into her troubles wherein she didn't mention her close friend, Rida Tharana and rather revealed being told that her friend did black magic on her. All these hints made her fans slam Rida, who has now shared her side of the story.
Apoorva Mukhija and Rida Tharana were once inspiration for friendship among influencers. But, when the former got involved in a fiasco, Rida just made a couple of attempts to support her. Netizens were confused by Rida's behaviour, and Apoorva's video with no mention of Rida added fuel the fire. After being silent over it, Rida took to Instagram and shared that her mother's health is not well. Consequently, she has been busy managing things in her life, while people called her friendship 'fake'. In her words:
"I don't want to give endless justifications. It's Apoorva's time to shine and I won't be a shadow to it. I see every little thing I've done taken out of context and blown out of proportion! Everything is up for misinterpretation. And I've said this before, and I'll say it again: people hate women. Women surviving, living, laughing, existing & just being. If I ever wanted to fake anything, I had 100 easier ways to do it. If you think I did that for 2 years, trust me, 2 months wouldn't have been hard."
Rida mentioned that she won't explain herself and people who don't like her can unfollow her. For those unaware, Rida's followers on Instagram dropped quickly after getting hate. The influencer mentioned she is tired of putting up with everything but would continue her work. She also highlighted that she tried to avoid negativity, but hate still follows her. Rida penned:
"Being in a different country, all by myself, it hasn't been easy. The anxiety has been bad. But what's been holding me together is hearing how some of you still have my back. I wasn't expecting that. So to those who stayed, who believed, who chose empathy over judgment...thank you. Truly."
Before, Rida Tharana, Apoorva shared a new post to defend her friend. She shared a picture that featured their hug and requested everyone not to make assumptions about them. Asking fans to refrain from spreading hate, Apoorva wrote:
"After my video, there have been a lot of assumptions and a lot of hate going around and as much as I appreciate you guys having my back. This is the last thing that I wanted. I wanted to share my story and my feelings - nothing more. So let's please not jump to conclusions or spread negativity."
Rida Tharana is a well-known Instagram influencer with 1.6 million followers on her IG.
