Apurva Agnihotri had started his Bollywood journey with Yash Raj productions', Pardes, and had shot to fame overnight. And since then, Shilpa had developed a little crush on him. It was Rakshanda Khan, who had introduced these two to each other, playing a Cupid in their love story. After dating for six months, the two had decided to take their relationship to another level and had exchanged rings, which were a solitaire for Shilpa, and a diamond-embedded platinum band for Apurva. Apurva Agnihotri and Shilpa Saklani had tied the knot on June 24, 2004, in Dehradun as Shilpa's grandmother could not come to Mumbai. While for Apurva, Shilpa is a great human being and loves to spread the love around her. Shilpa thinks Apurva is a really nice guy who has nothing negative to say about anyone. He is the world’s best husband and she feels like the luckiest girl in the world to have him. The two have been an ideal couple for their fans and now, in an interview, Apurva talked about his secret to a happy and healthy married life.
In a conversation with International Business Times, Apurva Agnihotri talks about his happy and healthy married life. He said, “I and Shilpa think alike, we are unidirectional, happy go, lucky people. The best part is we both have the same mindset and the same thought process. As both of us are alike we find happiness in each other I am not trying to be something which I am not and vice versa. We always look out for each other and we are not very ambitious too. In my previous birth, I must have done something good that I have got a life partner like her.”
Apurva also talked about sharing the same lifestyle with wife, Shilpa, “I am a very peace-loving person and love to stay in my space and cocoon. My wife (Shilpa) is not on social media, as I am on social media I prefer to stick to photography and nature so if you have seen my pictures on Instagram they are either about travel or nature. There are people who are addicted to social media, but I am not one of them.”
Apurva’s account is proof of his love for his wife, Shilpa as he constantly posts pictures of her. On June 28, 2019, Apurva had taken to his Instagram handle to wish his wife on their anniversary. Sharing a beautiful picture with Shilpa, he had written. “Love you now more than ever!!... Celebrating their 13th Anniversary in 2017, Apurva had shared an unseen picture from their wedding. In the picture, Shilpa could be seen wearing a yellow saree, while Apurva could be seen wearing a white coat. Along with the picture, he had written, “Happy 13th to us baby!! Here's to the most amazing, beautiful, stunning, fun 13 years of our lives, n cheers to many many many more.. Happy Anniversary baby. Love you always and forever.”
Earlier in an interview, when Shilpa and Apurva were asked about their most memorable moment together, Apurva had said, "It was during our honeymoon in Canada. We’re both very adventurous, so we tried our hand at bungee jumping, and sky diving etc. When it was my turn for bungee, right before I took the leap, Shilpa was dead scared. She turned to me and said, ‘No matter what, I will always love you’. That was a very special moment for me and I’ll never forget it." Shilpa had said, "The most memorable day of my life is June 24, 2004, it is the day I got married to Apurva. I was the happiest bride."
