Bigg Boss Marathi 5 may have ended, but Arbaz Patel and Nikki Tamboli are still the show’s most controversial contestants. The drama first started when the two started showing a romantic interest in each other. Viewers who were aware of his history with Nayera Ahuja in MTV Splitsvilla X5 felt a sense of deja vu in Arbaz’s connection with Nikki. Comments soon started flying about how he was using Nikki for the limelight and things wouldn’t be the same outside Bigg Boss 5. Well, Arbaz has finally responded to the speculations.
Viewers doubted the genuineness of Arbaz’s connection with Nikki ever since they got together. However, in a recent interview with Instant Bollywood, Arbaz clapped back at the haters saying he was good at the game. He firmly stated that any emotions he had expressed towards Nikki were born out of his deep connection with her. In his words:

“Pehli baat toh aise words aaye nahi ki Arbaz, Nikki ko use kar raha hai. Sab jaga pe yahi aaya ki Nikki, Arbaz ko use kar rahi hai game ke liye. Agar Arbaz individual khelega toh aur aacha dikhega. Toh mein yehi kahunga ki na Nikki mujhe use kar rahi hai, aur na mein Nikki ko use kar raha hu. Mein apna hi game khelta tha, task ho ya jo bhi cheez ka mudda ho. Nikki saath thi toh mera dusra part bhi apko dekhne mila hai, mere emotions, mera caring nature, woh sab cheeze Nikki ki wajah se mere personality mein se nikli hai.”
For the unversed, Nikki Tamboli’s mom had made an appearance on Bigg Boss Marathi 5 during the family special week. Nikki’s mom dropped a massive bombshell on her when she informed her that Arbaz had played her and was already engaged. The revelation made Nikki so furious that she even ended up throwing Arbaz’s clothes out of the house.
Rumour had it Arbaz Patel was already engaged to his girlfriend, Leeza Bindra, outside the house. However, Arbaaz denied the speculations and responded to the incident between Nikki and her mom. In a voice note shared to his Instagram story, Arbaz said:
“Hello, my Instagram family, Nikki ki mummy aaye hue hai andar and unhone bataya ki log aise bol rahe hai ki Azbaz ki engagement ho gayi hai. Toh guys, aisa kuch bhi nahi hai, na shaadi hui hai, aisa kuch bhi nahi hua hai. All these are rumours, ye sab cheeze failai hui hai.”
For the uninitiated, Arbaaz Patel was also a part of the dating reality show, MTV Splitsvilla X5. While on the show, he had formed a connection with fellow contestant, Nayera Ahuja. However, Nayera was shattered when she found out that Arbaz was already engaged to Leeza Bindra after the show ended.

In an interview with Filmygyan, Nayera spoke about Arbaz without mincing her words. She called him a “narcissist” and a “husband of many wives”. She also voiced her opinions on Arbaz and Nikki’s romance and his use of the same gameplay. Nayera said that it was her gut feeling that Nikki already knew Arbaz was a “red flag”. She also said that if Nikki stayed with him despite knowing this, she was partly at fault.
