Archana Puran Singh is one of the much-loved actresses in Bollywood. For the unversed, Archana started her career with the movie, Abhishek in 1987. After that, she mesmerised her fans with her acting chops. Moreover, the actress is currently receiving a lot of love and fame for her comic timing in the iconic comedy show, The Kapil Sharma Show. For the last few days, Archana has been constantly hitting the headlines as she recently schooled one of her trolls who age-shamed her. Now the actress has talked about the same and revealed why it was necessary.
In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Archana Puran Singh was asked about her befitting reply to a troll who age-shamed her. In response, the actress stated that if women cannot respect others, especially when she is older, and shame them for their body, height, appearance, or weight, how they can even expect that they will be respected by men? In the same interview, Archana Puran Singh also shared why it was necessary for her to slam the troll. Further in the interview, Archana Puran Singh shared that her trolls are the most useless people on this planet. Archana mentioned that she thinks these trolls actually target celebrities to get attention from them. But dropping inappropriate messages is not actually cool because saying these things to degrade somebody is appalling. Archana said:
"My trolls are the most vella (idle), useless people on this planet. The reason these trolls comment is to get attention and mileage from celebrities, that’s why I avoid replying to any...ut at least do not comment on somebody saying that ‘you look like a man’. First of all, what is the problem in anything like that? And then saying this to degrade somebody is appalling. I have moved on after my reply, but I am sure that girl got her two minutes of fame.”
We have often seen Archana Puran Singh getting some humourous remarks from Kapil Sharma. Now in the same interview, Archana Puran Singh was asked if she feels that people take leverage of that particular thing. As a response, the actress stated that “comedy is meant to be irreverent and it has to underline certain things for the purpose of humour." She also heaped praises on Kapil Sharma and mentioned that when Kapil says it is full of humour and love, and naughtiness. Elaborating more on the same, Archana Puran Singh stated:
"His tone also gives a little lightness to the joke and he has a high spirit. When Kapil says it, it is full of humour, love, and naughtiness. He knows he is taking a panga; woh sorry bhi bolta hai when I jokingly say, ‘Main aakar maarungi’. It is so wholesome. Don’t look at a comedy show and think that he is giving a social message."
