The couple got married in 1992, and they have two sons, Aaryamann and Ayushmaan. Recently, Archana's husband, Parmeet talked about his wife being more famous than him. In an interview with Screen, Archana Puran Singh's husband, Parmeet Sethi revealed that he finds the comparison between him and his wife 'very funny'. Parmeet stated that people need to study the public, but he has the understanding that the person who works more, gets recognised more. Parmeet mentioned that Archana is the judge of India's biggest reality show, so it's really obvious that she would be known more to the world. In Parmeet's words:

"You need to understand the public. I at least have the understanding that the person who is working more, seen more, is eventually recognised more. That is a given. Archana is the judge of India’s biggest show (The Great Indian Kapil Show). So it's obvious that people will know her more.”

In the same interview, Parmeet Sethi walked down the memory lane and recalled the time when he was more famous than his wife, Archana Puran Singh. The actor shared that there was a time when he would go out, and people would recognise him for the roles that he had done for several TV shows and movies. He shared that his wife was a little more in the background back then as she was less active as an actress. He mentioned that these ups and downs are actually part and parcel of life, and if he now goes on to act in daily soaps again, then he will reach the Indian household again. Parmeet can be quoted as saying:

"There was also a time when I did shows and films like Dastaan and DDLJ, when people knew me, would spot me and be like, ‘Arey yaar, yeh toh Parmeet Sethi hai, Kuljeet hai yeh toh’. At that time, Archana was a little bit in the background because at that point in time she was less active as an actor. These ups and downs are very normal. If today, I decide to get into daily soaps, I will reach every Indian household and people will know me by face and name.”

In the same interview, Parmeet Sethi shared that he decided to leave acting as there is something that he enjoys more, which is writing and directing. He also shared that he's not at all obsessed with the idea of being recognised by everyone. Parmeet mentioned that he and his wife never let this comparison come between them. The former actor shared that he laughs it off often when people compare him with his wife. In Parmeet's words:

"I am not very obsessed with wanting to be recognised and known by others. I mostly enjoy writing and directing, so these things don’t really matter to me. I laugh at it. I take it very lightly, hence we joke about it. Also, what is the problem in my wife being more famous and successful than me? It is a great thing. What’s wrong in this? Archana and I don’t have anything such in between us. We enjoy ourselves and we have that understanding.”

In an interview with Times Now, Archana Puran Singh revealed that there was a time in the industry when there was a perception that married girls wouldn't get jobs in the acting world. She mentioned that back in that time, there was chauvinism in the industry, and men and women had different guidelines. She further revealed that she and Parmeet decided that their marriage wouldn't be public but a private affair as they wanted to do it in a private affair.
