For the unversed, on November 13, 2025, Ariana was walking with her Wicked: For Good co-stars, when a man named 'Pyjama Man' jumped from nowhere and grabbed the Wicked: For Good actress. On November 15, 2025, at the special screening of Wicked: For Good in Los Angeles, Cynthia Erivo opened up about the scary and shocking moment involving Ariana Grande. Cynthia shared that she and the team have gone a long way. She also highlighted the shocking incident involving Ariana at Universal Studios Singapore. She added that the film helped them to grow both personally and professionally. She was quoted as saying:

"And we have come through some shit. We have come through some stuff in our lives, in our daily workings. I mean, f**k, even this last week. Let's be honest, for f**k's sakes, we've had to really deal with some stuff, and this movie has allowed us to really grow as people, as friends, as sisters, as artists, as actresses."

Ahead of its release, Wicked: For Good held a special premiere at Universal Studios Singapore on November 13, 2025. For the uninitiated, Ariana Grande was walking the yellow brick road carpet along with her co-stars, Michelle Yeoh, Cynthia Erivo and Jeff Goldblum as a part of promotion for their upcoming film, Wicked: For Good. While there was a lot of buzz surrounding the film, an incident left both Ariana and her fans shocked. While Ariana was enjoying the lighthearted moment at the event, a man entered the scene.

Targeting the global star, the man ran fast towards her and grabbed her tightly. Visibly shocked by the attack, Ariana tried her best to move away. Her co-star, Cynthia Erivo, also came to her rescue. He shouted at the man and came between him and Ariana. Later, security came to the chaotic scene and removed the attacker from the event. For those unaware, Ariana has reprised her role as 'Glinda' and Cynthia plays 'Elphaba' in the film, Wicked: For Good.

Ariana’s attacker was wearing a white shirt and matching shorts and had long hair with blue-highlighted streaks. Soon after the video featuring the shocking attack on Ariana Grande surfaced online, fans were quick to recognise the man as 'Pyjama Man'. He is a 25-year-old Australian influencer whose original name is Johnson Wen. While netizens slammed his actions and called them 'disgusting', 'Pyjama Man' remained unaffected by the criticism. He has bragged about the incident on social media. On November 13, 2025, Johnson took to his Instagram handle and posted a video featuring the attack. He literally boasted the moment and wrote:

"@arianagrande @wickedmovie Dear Ariana Grande, thank you for letting me jump on the yellow carpet with you."

It is worth noting that this kind of harassment is nothing new to 'Pyjama Man'. There are many instances in which he has hopped in and ruined the moment of the global stars. He attacked many celebrities, including Katy Petty, The Weeknd and Virat Kohli. Earlier, this year, in June 2025, 'Pyjama Man' jumped on stage and grabbed Katy when she was fixing her guitar. In fact, he had harassed Indian international cricketer, Virat Kohli, twice.
