Former Miss India and Bollywood actress, Sangeeta Bijlani, clocked in her 65th year on earth on July 9, 2025. The actress hosted a star-studded birthday bash, attended by several known faces from the industry, including Sangeeta’s ex and Bollywood superstar, Salman Khan. While Bhaijan’s presence in the bash created waves on social media, some clicks from the event, featuring television actor Arjun Bijlani, his wife Neha Bijlani, Salman, and the birthday girl herself, went viral. Now, netizens are curious if Arjun is in any way related to the actress. 

Is Arjun Bijlani related to Sangeeta Bijlani?

Given their common last name, the confusion is understandable. But despite the buzz, let us clarify that, no, they are not related. There is no familial connection between them, and the two are just good friends. Sangeeta was a popular name in Bollywood during the late 80s and 90s. 

Besides her acting and modelling career, Sangeeta is quite popular for her high-profile relationship with Salman Khan. Arjun, on the other hand, is a household name in Indian television with notable performances in shows like Naagin, Miley Jab Hum Tum, and Left Right Left.

Arjun Bijlani is just a fellow industry insider and a close friend of Sangeeta Bijlani, which is why he attended the latter’s birthday with his wife, Neha. The buzz surrounding their relationship circulated when Neha posted a couple of pictures from the night on her Instagram. One of the snaps, which has gained significant attention, showed the couple posing with the birthday girl and Salman Khan. 

In the now-viral photo, the woman of the night, Sangeeta Biljani, radiated glam in her sparkly golden miniskirt and white top. Standing on her side, Salman kept it classic in a black T-shirt and blue jeans. Arjun Bijlani looked stylish in his monochrome shirt, while his other half, Neha, stunned in a chic black dress.

Sangeeta Bijlani and Salman Khan were once a hot topic in Bollywood’s close circles due to their highly publicised romance that lasted several years. For those unaware, the duo started dating in the late 80s, and there were even plans of marriage in 1994. Reports also state that the wedding cards had already been printed by the time it was called off. 

But what was the reason, you ask? Well, turns out Salman was starting to grow feelings for Somy Ali. Realising this, and even once catching Salman cheating on her, Sangeeta broke off the marriage and walked away from the relationship. Despite the split, Salman and Sangeeta have maintained a cordial and warm friendship over the years. Their camaraderie was once again evident at the actress’s birthday bash, where the two were seen sharing smiles and laughs.

Sangeeta Bijlani shared how she managed to keep a good bond with Salman Khan 

Salman Khan shares cordial ties with some of his exes, and Sangeeta Bijlani is one of them. Reportedly, she caught him cheating after their wedding cards were printed. In an old interview with TOI, when asked how she still maintained a bond with Salman, Sangeeta gave a relatable reply. She said:

"Connections never go away... Nobody will be permanent in life. That does not mean you will feel bitter or angry. At one point, you evolve. There was a point in time of my life when I was childish and stupid, but I am a grown-up now. Life is full of experiences."
