Bollywood Actor, Arjun Kapoor was very close to his mother, late Mona Shourie Kapoor. The actor, who lost his mother to cancer, often posts throwback glimpses of her along with emotional notes. As February 3 marks Mona Shourie Kapoor’s birth anniversary, Arjun posted a throwback letter that he wrote years back for her.
Taking to his IG handle, Arjun Kapoor posted a picture of a letter that he wrote to his mother, Mona in the year 1997. In the letter, the doting son explained the meaning of the term mother. He also mentioned how she donned the hat of a father sometimes, despite the many roles she played for her kids.

Along with the letter, Arjun also gave glimpses of his childhood pictures with his mother and penned an emotional note on how he is falling short of pictures now. In his words:
“I’m running out of pictures now Maa. I’ve run out of words also so just putting up something again that sums the child inside me up, Maybe I’ve run out of energy & strength also but today is your birthday and it’s the best day of the year for me, that’s why I promise you I will never give up I promise you I will find new energy & strength & I promise u I will make u proud wherever u are… love u feels rather empty without ur smile ya… Happy Birthday to my everything.”
Arjun Kapoor is the first child of filmmaker, Boney Kapoor and Mona Shourie Kapoor. Arjun and his sister, Anshula were raised by their mother, Mona, when their father left her to marry actress, Sridevi. Arjun’s world collapsed completely when months before his Bollywood debut, his mother left for the heavenly abode after giving a tough fight to cancer on March 25, 2012.

Arjun often speaks about the void in his life after his mother, Mona Shourie’s death. The actor lost her 45 days before he was about to make his debut in Bollywood. In an interview with Pinkvilla, Arjun bared his heart out and stated that all the successes and failures, ups and downs are handleable, but the one thing which he could not handle is the absence of his mother in his life.
On the work front, Arjun Kapoor will be next seen in the film, Kuttey!
