Arjun Rampal and Gabriella Demetriades' engagement announcement was the biggest revelation. During a recent chat with Rhea Chakraborty on her Chapter 2 podcast, Gabriella quipped, "We're not married now, but who knows?" Hearing this, Arjun was quick to disclose that they are engaged. While the engagement news circulated online, people became curious to know the age gap between the couple. According to a report by Pinkvilla, Arjun Rampal was born on November 26, 1972, while his longtime partner, Gabriella, was born in 1987. This means that the duo shares a huge age gap of 15 years.

Ever since, Gabriella quipped on Rhea Chakraborty’s Chapter 2 podcast and said, "We're not married now, but who knows," fans have been speculating that their wedding may be on the cards. However, the duo have not yet commented on this or made any official announcement about their marriage. Amid the possible marriage speculation, Arjun Rampal’s old statement about marriage has gone viral.

In a 2024 conversation with Ranveer Allahbadia on his podcast, Arjun Rampal revealed the reason for not marrying Gabriella. He described marriage as just a piece of paper and explained that often this paper brings a change to one’s life. He also opened up about Gabriella’s equation with his two daughters, Mahikaa and Myra and his ex-wife, Mehr Jesia. He was quoted as saying:

"Marriage is just a piece of paper. We are already married, and there is no doubt about that in my mind. But sometimes what that piece of paper can do is change you. You're just legally bound in a way, but it could change your attitude towards each other. In both our minds, we are married to each other... I have two beautiful boys with her. I am blessed. My daughters and her (Gabriella) get along beautifully. Mehr and her (Gabriella) get along."

After his divorce from Mehr Jesia in 2018, Arjun has been co-parenting his daughters, Mahikaa and Myra. In Rhea Chakraborty’s Chapter 2 podcast, Arjun expressed his joy about Gabriella and his daughter’s bond.  He shared that his daughters treat his present partner like their friend. He then jokingly mentioned that although he wants to become their friend, he is a little old-fashioned. The Dhurandhar actor was quoted as saying:

"Mahikaa, Myra, and Gabriella got along really, really well — touchwood. They can talk to her like a friend. I want to be that friend too, but I’m still a little old-fashioned."

Gabriella shared that she and Arjun never told Mahikaa and Myra to respect her. She highlighted that there has been no pressure on them to like her. Gabriella then added that both she and Arjun gave them time to settle down. She also called her stepdaughters 'loving girls'. She was quoted as saying:

"We never told them they have to respect me. They don’t have to. They just need to have a relationship with me — and if they like me, great. There was no pressure. We let them settle into a rhythm on their own. They are fun, lovely girls."
