Arjun Rampal and his girlfriend, Gabriella Demetriades are on cloud nine these days as they are soon going to embrace parenthood. For those who do not know, Gabriella is a South African model and an actor. She has also acted in a Bollywood movie, Sonali Cable. Earlier, Arjun Rampal was married to Mehr Jesia but the couple announced their separation in 2018. Arjun Rampal and Gabriella Demetriades announced the latter’s pregnancy recently on April 23, 2019, and since then, we have been desperately waiting for the arrival of their baby. The couple was recently in the Maldives enjoying their mini-babymoon. And the day before yesterday, on May 25, 2019, they hosted Gabriella’s baby shower. Arjun Rampal’s not-yet-divorced wife, Mehr Jesia and their kids, Mahikaa and Mahira also graced the occasion. In case you missed, take a look at her baby shower pictures:
Arjun Rampal, during an interview with the Hindustan Times, has now shared that his last five years have almost been like hell. The Rock On star was quoted as saying, “It’s been sheer hell for the last five years but what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, doesn’t it?”
Arjun also shared how he met Gabriella for the first time. Arjun replied to the media portal on being asked about the same, “Ah, that’s a question to ask. We met through common friends. So, what can I say? That she stalked me? Wishful thinking that, buddy! It’s only been a year since we started dating and here we are. For keeps. And I must add that it was of prime importance that my daughters should accept her as part of the family. I’m blessed that they have, no questions asked.”
Arjun and Gabriella had announced the latter’s pregnancy news on their Instagram handles by sharing the following picture. While Arjun had captioned the pregnancy post as, “Blessed to have you and start all over again. Thank you, baby, for this baby", Gabrielle had worded it as, "Grateful for you two can’t wait to meet you." A SpotboyE report had earlier claimed that Arjun’s ex-wife and their kids had taken to the news of Gabriella’s pregnancy sportingly. The report had stated, “The couple did their best to keep the pregnancy under wraps for the last six months. It turns out that several of their friends were kept in the dark too, including Mehr Jesia, Rampal’s wife of 20 years and mum to their two daughters, Mahikaa, 17, and Myra, 13. Mehr has in fact taken the news rather sportingly. Her friends say that even though they haven’t filed for divorce yet, Mehr has come to terms with the fact that Rampal has moved on personally.”
Arjun and Mehr separated last year but they aren’t legally divorced yet. A media report had recently claimed that the two are working on finding common financial terms, “They are still working out the financial terms of the separation. Mehr is a wonderful mother and wants to do what works best for her children.”
Arjun and Mehr had released an official statement announcing their separation. It could be read as, “After a 20-year-long beautiful journey filled with love and beautiful memories, we would like to share, that all journeys have different paths. We feel that it is time for us to move on to different destinations henceforth.”
The statement had further stated, “We have always been solid when it has come to us, we will continue to be solid for each other and our loved ones, as we embark upon a new journey...Both of us being extremely private people feel strange to be making this statement, but such are the circumstances of our lives. Where the truth can get distorted and lost. We are a family, our love for each other is forever intact and we shall always be there for one another and most importantly, for our children Mahikaa and Myra. We would, therefore, appreciate our privacy through this time. Thank all for their support. Relationships can end, but love lives on.
