A few days ago, Netflix announced their upcoming talk show, Dining With The Kapoors, with the entire Kapoor family, who will be coming together to celebrate Raj Kapoor's 100th birthday. Ever since the trailer of the show was released, fans have been questioning Alia Bhatt's absence in it. And finally after a long wait, the creator of the talk show and Ranbir Kapoor's cousin, Armaan Jain opened up about the same.
Recently, Armaan Jain sat down for a candid conversation with the Bollywood Hungama and broke silence on Alia Bhatt not being a part of the show. For those who don’t know, the trailer of the show, Dining With The Kapoors was released on November 15, 2025, under which a lot of fans noticed Saif Ali Khan’s presence in it, but not Alia Bhatt’s. Regarding the same, Armaan Jain was quoted as saying:
"She had prior commitments to shoot. I might sound filmy, but like Raj Kapoor said, work is worship."

During the same conversation with the Bollywood Hungama, the director of the show, Dining With The Kapoors, Smriti Mundhra opened up about her experience of working with the entire Kapoor family. She revealed that the family loves to work and they have a good understanding amongst each other. Indirectly, while talking about Alia, she shared that sometimes one or two people are busy because of work, which is completely fine. In her words:
"That is the one thing about this family. They are all workaholics and they all love what they do. There is always an understanding that everyone makes an attempt to gather and prioritise as much as possible, but inevitably there’s one or two people who can’t make it because of work- and that’s always allowed."

When the trailer of Dining With The Kapoors was dropped, the Raazi actress had taken to her Instagram Stories and reshared the trailer of the show. Along with it, Alia Bhatt also penned a small yet heartwarming note for Armaan. She had revealed that the show will be very good and fun. She had shared:
"From my experience, this is going to be too much fun. Congratulations Armani… What an amazing job putting this together @therealarmaanjain. #DiningwiththeKapoors."

For the unversed, the trailer of the show, Dining With The Kapoors features the entire Kapoor family, including Kareena Kapoor Khan, Neetu Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor, Randhir Kapoor, Armaan Jain, Aadar Jain, Ranbir Kapoor and many more, who came together to celebrate Raj Kapoor's legacy on his 100th birthday. The trailer shared a warm glimpse of the entire family at the dining table, sharing gossip, laughing and teasing each other. It also showed Raj's memories and highlighted the bond between the family members.

For those who are excited to watch the show, it is all set to premiere on the OTT platform, Netflix on November 21, 2025. If reports are to be believed, the show will be released in India around 1:30 PM IST on that day. Viewers will need a subscription to watch the entire Kapoor family celebrate the legacy of Raj Kapoor.
