During the podcast, the actor revealed that since he was in a boarding school, he doesn't have a lot of memories with his family. He shared:

He then continued to talk about his mother. Arshad Warsi shared that the last day of his mother still haunts him to date. He stated that his mother had kidney failure and was on dialysis, because of which doctors had told not to give her water. The Golmaal actor recalled that just before passing away, his mother had asked for water, but he refused because of the doctor. He was quoted as saying:

"My mother was a simple housewife who cooked great food. She had kidney failure, and she was on dialysis. Doctors had told us not to give her any water and she kept asking for it. I kept saying no, and the night before she passed away, she called for me and again started asking for water. She passed away that night, and it killed me."

Arshad Warsi still carries the guilt of his mother’s death

Talking about the same incident, Arshad Warsi continued to mention that there is a part of him that thinks that if he would have given her water, then he would have regretted if she passed away after drinking it. He further stated that he was a kid back then, but if something like that happened today, his reaction would be different. In his words:

"There is also some part of myself that keeps telling me that if I had given her water and she had passed away after that, for my whole life I would think that she died because I gave her water. Now I think that I should have given her the water. I was a kid back then, and I wanted to listen to what the doctor had said. Today I can take that decision, and choose to live with my family instead of spending my last days in the hospital. We never think about the person who is sick, instead we take decisions based on our guilt."
