Arshad Warsi's wife, Maria Goretti, was the first person from Tinseltown to raise concern and point out the Ambanis' use of an elephant as a prop during the pre-wedding festivities of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. Dignitaries from all over the world attended the celebrations, including Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, Rihanna, Donald Trump's daughter, Ivanka Trump, and many more.
On March 5, 2024, Arshad Warsi' wife, Maria Goretti took to her social media handle, and shared an IG story while reacting to Ivanka Trump's photo, wherein she was posing next to an elephant, who was decked up with a huge jewellery. Maria criticised Ambanis for using an elephant as a prop for the pre-wedding festivities. She also pointed that such behaviour should not happen to any animal, especially the one that is being rescued and rehabilitated.

Not only this, Maria strongly reacted to the guests clicking picture with the elephant, and stated that how it was made to stand like a prop, in the middle of noise and people. Her note can be read as:
"I'm appalled at this picture of the Ambani celebration. I don't think this should happen to any animal, specially not to animals that are being rescued and rehabilitated. Heartbreaking just heartbreaking that this elephant was made to stand like a prop, in the middle of noise and people."
Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani's youngest son, Anant Ambani dreamt of taking care of animals from a young age. Just ahead of tying the knot with Radhika Merchant, Anant Ambani introduced the world to his dream project, Vantara, which is a dedicated wildlife preservation project with the aim of becoming the world's largest zoo and rehabilitation centre. From a young age, Anant Ambani wanted to work for the welfare of animals, and his dream came to reality with his project, Vantara, which is going to be the world's largest zoo and animal rescue centre. The place gives a nurturing environment to abused, injured and endangered animals. During an interview, Anant revealed that God comes in the form of animals, and it is one of the reasons why this project is not a business initiative. He was quoted as saying:
“Aaj ke tareekh mein bhagwan ke roop mein aate hain. Hum toh rubaru bhagwan ko dekh nhi sakte toh main yeh maanta hoon ki janwar ka sewa krna hi mere liye bhagwan ka karya hai aur bhagwan ka sewa krne jaisa mujhe mauka mila hai. Main yeh dil se krta hoon isse mere business ka kuch lena dena hai nhi."
In an interview with India Today, Anant Ambani heaped praises on his lady love, Radhika Merchant. The animal lover, who is devoted towards making the world a better place for four-legged beings, shared that he never wanted to get married as he wanted to devote his life to taking care of animals. However, he then met Radhika, who had a similar dream as his. Talking about the same, Anant stated:
"I am lucky (to have her) for sure. She is the person of my dreams. Since childhood, I had thought that I would never get married because I was always devoted to taking care of animals. But when I met Radhika, I saw her sharing the same values as me. She has this sense of giving and nurturing towards animals."
