Aruna Irani is one of the most stunning actresses of her time. She has shown her acting skills in more than 500 films throughout her career, and predominantly worked in Hindi, Kannada, Marathi and Gujarati cinema. For her remarkable performances, she was honoured with the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award and has also bagged two Filmfare Awards for Best Supporting Actress for Pet Pyaar Aur Paap (1985) and Beta (1992). Now, she opened up about working with her co-stars.
In an interview with Zoom Entertainment, Aruna Irani talked about her bond with veteran actors, Rajesh Khanna, Shatrugan Sinha and Amitabh Bachchan. She mentioned that people used to get scared of Rajesh Khanna, but she had a sweet relationship with him. She said, “Rajesh Khanna was a good actor. He was very good to me. People used to get scared of him a lot. But I did not. He used to call me ‘ben’. He used to be like ‘aye ben, chalo khana khaane. Time hogaya’.” Talking about Shatrugan Sinha, she mentioned that they never had a great friendship but used to talk sometimes. Afterwards, she also wondered why the female actresses always liked her and shared:

“I had a good rapport with the heroines also. I don’t know why they liked me.”

Arun Irani and Amitabh Bachchan have worked in a number of movies together. However, talking about him in the same conversation, Aruna mentioned that the legendary actor used to stay 'aloof' on the sets. Moreover, she revealed that he used to only spend time in his room. Elaborating more on the same, Aruna stated:
“Amit ji used to stay aloof from the very beginning. He used to just spend time in his own room or his vanity van. I have never seen him get friendly with anyone.”
Earlier, in an interview with Rediff.com, Aruna was all praises for Amitabh. She mentioned how he used to return calls no matter how busy he was. Moreover, she mentioned that Amitabh has always maintained dignity and never showed off his stardom. In Aruna's words:
“As an actor, he is a legend. Also, when I worked with him in Bombay To Goa, he was not as famous. But now, even after he has acquired so much fame, he is still the same. He doesn’t have any attitude (problem). If I were in his place the fame would have gone to my head. He has lived up to his potential; more than lived up to it. I doubt Amitji can ever be replaced.”

Coming to Amitabh Bachchan's personal life, he is married to Jaya Bachchan and the duo is counted among the evergreen couples of Bollywood who never miss a chance to shed pure goals. Thus, during one of the episodes of their granddaughter, Navya Naveli Nanda's podcast, What The Hell Navya 2, Jaya made an honest confession.
