Rithvik Dhanjani and Asha Negi had met each other during the show, Pavitra Rishta and since then, there has been no looking back for them, until April 2020. Reports of Rithvik and Asha parting ways had surfaced in the media and it’s still difficult for us to believe that our favourite and TV’s most adored couple had called it quits in their relationship. While Rithvik had posted some cryptic quotes on his social media indicating his breakup, Asha had chosen to keep mum about her personal life.
Finally, in an interview with Pinkvilla, Asha Negi commented on her breakup with Rithvik Dhanjani. Excelling on her professional front with her film debut in 2020 and the release of the second season of her show, Baarish, things are not quite well for Asha in her personal life. Commenting on her breakup with Rithvik, Asha said, "People fall apart, relationships fall apart. But the main thing in life is that you have love and compassion for the person and that never dies." Emphasising on the fact that she would like to keep her bond with Rithvik like that and not talk about it publicly, Asha continued, "I would like to say, that (respect and compassion) will always be there. I don't want to talk so much about my personal life."
Rithvik Dhanjani had also preferred not to talk about his personal life in the media but his cryptic Instagram posts had said it all. On April 20, 2020, Rithvik had posted some cryptic Instagram stories and the love notes were about ‘unconditional love’ and why not to ‘go back to normal’. Amidst his breakup reports with Asha Negi, Rithvik had posted love quotes, which can be read as “To know love is to know how to give. Unconditionally. There is no greater wisdom than unconditional love. The yoga of love” and “Nothing should go back to normal. Normal wasn’t working. If we go back to the way things were, we will have lost the lesson. May we rise up and do better.” (Also Read: Himesh Reshammiya's Personalised Second Anniversary Gift For Wife, Sonia Reflects Their Musical Love)

Earlier, Rithvik Dhanjani had posted another cryptic post on his Instagram story. Quoting J.M. Storm, Rithvik had shared, "I laughed. I laughed like a kid when it dawned on me that so much of what I worried about wasn't mine to begin with. What people think and how they perceive you isn't in your power. And yet we let it rob us of who we truly are. All in the name of fitting in with the herd and that my friend is bullshit.”
The reports have been rife that Rithvik Dhanjani and Asha Negi are facing trouble in their paradise. As per a Pinkvilla report, the source had informed, "The two have been dating each other for the longest time but things haven't been too well between the two, of late. Apparently, they are currently on a break and are trying to see if it can go any further. But, the dent is already being felt by close friends." Even a Times Of India report had stated that Asha and Rithvik have decided to part ways since things weren’t going too well between them. Asha and Rithvik’s close friends are aware of it and it’s been more than a month since the latter had moved out of their house.
In an interview with News18, Asha Negi had revealed how her long hiatus had shaken her confidence for the longest time and that she was ‘kinda depressed’. Asha had said, "I was really upset and demotivated. In fact, I was kind of depressed because nothing was working and I was like, 'Oh my god, is my career over?' Especially when you have people around you who are doing well in their careers, somewhere down the line it pinches you. I won't say that it happens out of jealousy or insecurity but you ask yourself--what's wrong with me? I think I'm grateful for that time, too, as they say, 'More than your success, you failure teaches you.' That's when you evolve, not just as an actor but as a person also. So, I'm glad that it happened because I feel I'm a better human being now and a better actor, too.” (Also Read: Navya Nanda Launches Her Healthcare Platform 'Aara Health', Rumored Beau, Meezaan Congratulates Her)
