Fan Calls Ashish Vidyarthi As Ashutosh Gowariker, Actor Gives Adorable Reply, 'Meri Khaasiyat..'

Ashish Vidyarthi has made a name for himself by playing intense antagonist roles in various film industries, not just Bollywood. However, in his personal life, the actor has maintained a funny, humble and sweet personality. Ashish showcased this side of him recently when a fan confused him with director, Ashutosh Gowariker. Without any annoyance at her mix-up, the actor gave a humorous reply to the fan. 

Fan confuses Ashish Vidyarthi with Ashutosh Gowariker 

A video featuring veteran actor, Ashish Vidyarthi has gone viral where a fan says in the video, "Ashutosh Gowariker, he is on the same flight as me. I am so happy, sir", as the actor walks behind her. To her mix-up, Ashish responds with humour and first asks the fan not to edit the video. Then he states that it is a unique quality of his that everyone calls him by different names. He also mentions to watch The Kapil Sharma Show for this. Then Ashish humorously states that this is the first time someone has called him Ashutosh Gowariker. In the viral video, the actor says:

“Achha, if you promise not to edit it… ye meri khaasiyat hai. Aap log Kapil Sharma Show dekhiyega iske liye. Har ek koi mujhe alag alag naam se pukaarta hai. Pehli baar kisine Ashutosh Gowariker bulaya hai."

The fan then says to the actor that she recognised him correctly. She even insists on it. However, Ashish corrects her with grace. He gently, tells her in the video, "Mera naam Ashish Vidyarthi hai". The fan is visibly embarrassed after the interaction and facepalms herself.

In the video, Ashish Vidyarthi mentions The Kapil Sharma Show, where he talked about how he has been confused with other actors, especially with Ashutosh Rana. Both Ashish and Ashutosh Rana are well-known for their fearsome villain roles and intense acting in various cult-classic films. So, in The Kapil Sharma Show, Ashish mentioned that he has often been confused with his contemporary for their similar antagonist roles. In the show, he said:

"My name is Ashish Vidyarthi. Many people don't know that and sometimes it becomes a problem. Whenever I travel, people come for autographs and selfies and call me Ashutosh Rana. "

One X (formerly Twitter) user was understanding of the fan's confusion and commented, "Yes, yes. But it happens. Sometimes, in excitement, we confuse names!" One other commenter wrote that they had also made the same mistake and had called him Ashutosh Rana once. Another fan of Ashish mentioned all the popular villain roles that he had played and wrote, "The OG villain.....Vitthal Kaniya, Inder Saxena, Devraj Kamat and so on".
