Ashneer Grover is one of the most popular names in the business world. He needs no introduction, and his unfiltered attitude adds stars to his popularity. The former MD of BharatPe, Ashneer was one of the most famous judges on the popular reality show, Shark Tank India and was loved by millions for his non-biased opinions. Apart from being a big name in the business circuit, Ashneer is a loving husband to his darling wifey, Madhuri Jain Grover, who is his strength and support system. Recently, she recalled their initial days in Mumbai and shared some adorable memories.
Recently, Ashneer Grover and his darling wifey, Madhuri Jain Grover graced Amrita Rao and RJ Anmol's podcast show, Couple Of Things. During the show, the lovebirds opened up about their life 16 years back and even visited their 1BHK apartment in Mumbai. Upon seeing their first home in Mumbai, many old memories flushed into Ashneer and Madhuri's minds, and those were simply unmissable. Talking about one of their old memories, Madhuri revealed that she used to ask her husband to get tomatoes from outside the building before coming home, and they used to eat on the floor. In her words:
"I would tell Ashneer to get tamatar from outside the building before he would return from work. And now there are so many buildings. We didn’t have a table. We used to sit on the floor and eat. We used to buy one piece of furniture a month with our salaries."

In the same episode, Madhuri even stated that Ashneer was more romantic in Mumbai. Elaborating more about it, she mentioned that once, he surprised her with a ring. She recalled some sweet memories from their younger days and revealed that since their home had only one bathroom, they used to bathe together. Recalling how their act shocked Ashneer's sister, Asheema, Madhuri mentioned:
"He was romantic in Bombay. He was expressive. We are not one of those to gift on special days like birthdays or anniversaries. We shop together. Hum dono saath mein nahate the. There was just one bathroom and office jaane ka time bhi hota tha. Ashneer’s sister Asheema was also visiting us back then and she was shocked as we disappeared together."
Further, in the same conversation, Madhuri also opened up about her and Ashneer's first pregnancy. Talking about the same, she revealed that they had to terminate their first pregnancy because of complications. Recalling how depressing it was for them, Madhuri mentioned they were ready to have a baby in their lives, but there was no option. In her words:
"Ashneer and I were ready to have a baby. And when you are ready to have a baby and the doctor advised us to terminate the baby, it was depressing. You don’t have the will but there is no option and you have to do it."

Ashneer and Madhuri also talked about their marital problems and how they solved them. Elaborating more about it, Ashneer revealed that after every fight, they used to step out and travel. Adding to this, Madhuri mentioned that they often used to go out for movies, dinner dates, and shopping. Revealing how, they even travelled to US and Canada with their 48K salary, the couple said:
"Hum jaake bas rishtedaro ghar me jaake bas baith jate the. We just step out. We have travelled a lot. We used to pay Rs 16K rent, and in that salary we would also go for movies, get premium seats, go for fine dining too. We would also visit the US and Canada back then. Dollar was at Rs 40."
For the unversed, Ashneer Grover tied the knot to an entrepreneur, Madhuri Jain on July 4, 2006. The couple is blessed with two kids, a son named Avy and a daughter named Mannat. Ashneer's wife is a NIFT-Delhi graduate and a designer by profession. She has worked with firms like Satya Paul and Alok Industries and runs her furnishing business called Mauve and Brown.
