When we talk about romantic, Sufi, or Qawwali songs, the acclaimed Pakistani singer Atif Aslam’s name immediately pops up. He has been one of the most celebrated singers around the world and has enchanted millions of people with his soulful voice. Moreover, the singer has been in the music industry for two decades and has also lent his voice to some of the most soulful Bollywood songs, like Dil Diyan Gallan, Tere Sang Yaara, and Tu Jaane Na, among others.
Atif is not only a successful singer but also a wonderful husband and a doting father. He got married to the love of his life, Sara Bharwana, in 2013, and the couple has since welcomed their three children: two sons, Abdul Ahad and Aryaan Aslam, and a daughter, Haleema Atif Aslam. However, Atif once opened up about the heartbreaking loss of his child.

A few years ago, the Pakistani singer appeared on the YouTube show, AB Talks, where he opened up about various facets of his personal life. During the conversation, the host, Anas Bukhash, asked Atif to recall the worst moment in his life. After taking a long pause, the singer revealed the unfortunate incident of losing his baby. Divulging details about it, Atif said:
“I lost my kid. I remember so Sara was like I guess four months five months pregnant and I had to leave for a show, it was a show in Turkey and just right before the show, before my performance, she called me that the baby doesn't have a heartbeat anymore.”
Further sharing about this heartbreaking moment, Atif mentioned that he was to perform on the stage half an hour after he got this news. He said that despite this unfortunate incident, he went on to perform for two and a half hours during the show. Atif further recalled that people were enjoying their hearts out during his performance.

Later, in the interaction, the singer shared that after his show, he just wanted to visit the shrines of Sufi poets, Hazrat Shah Shams Tabrizi and Rumi in Konya, Turkey. Atif said that he did not want anyone else to join him as he wanted some alone time. He said that during the 3-4 hours long journey, only one thought kept on going in his mind. Talking about the incident, Atif further added:
“I wanted to go to Konya, I wanted to visit Shams Tabrizi and Rumi's shrine, and I wanted to be alone, I didn't want anyone around me. I told my friend I'm gonna go and he insisted saying 'I want to go, I want to be there with you'. Call me selfish, but I didn't take him along, and I left. It was a three or four-and-a-half-hour journey, and I was only thinking how helpless we all are. I wouldn't sort of ask a question that why did you do that to me how and why I was not in that state I was just at how helpless we all are we have control over nothing, and yet we fight over everything.”

At present, Atif Aslam and his family have overcome this difficult situation, and are enjoying their lives with their new family member, Haleema. The latter was born on March 23, 2023, and recently, Atif took to his official Instagram account to reveal the face of his beloved daughter to the world. Sharing pictures of his cute little daughter, the singer penned a post:
“Baba has kept princess shoe in his pocket, jab Haleema ko chahaye ho ga bta dena. Unconditional(love). Happy birthday 23/03/23”
We are glad to see that Atif Aslam has moved on from the incident and is now spending his time with his adorable little baby, Haleema Atif Aslam.
