The most expensive dress to be sold to date was Marilyn Monroe’s white halter dress from her 1955 romcom, The Seven Year Itch. The dress was sold for USD 4.5 million. The second spot for the most expensive dress was the Cecil Beaton dress worn by Audrey Hepburn in My Fair Lady. This dress was auctioned off for USD 4.4 million in 2017.
