Avinash Mukherjee and Saloni Luthra’s love story is as filmy as it can get! Avinash is a well-known celebrity who rose to fame as the young Jagya in Colors’ mega TRP-grossing show, Balika Vadhu. While we all drool over his good looks and work, it was Saloni who had no idea that she was soon about to date a celebrity! He proposed to her at 4 am (the reason behind the same we will share in the later paragraphs to come) and she had instantly nodded with a yes! In an interview, the duo had opened up about their love story, which was misconstrued by certain portals claiming that the duo have gotten a nod from their parents for marriage. Deeply perturbed by the news, Avinash spoke about the repercussion that followed.
In yet another interview with The Times of India, Avinash Mukherjee shared, “We were taken aback upon reading how a few portals confirmed us getting married and also how our parents were also ok with it. They don't understand how such news that currently has no truth, can affect our personal lives. Our parents, especially Saloni's parents were quite affected by the news of our marriage.”
Avinash Mukherjee further stated, "Yes, I am dating Saloni and that's the only truth right now. Regarding our families meeting or us getting married and all, has no truth at all as of now. We are both 21 years and neither we nor our families have spoken about marriage or any future. Having said that, our priority right now is to build a future and our career. No marriage talks are on our mind for the next 6-8 years. In the first-ever interview about their courtship, Avinash Mukherjee had talked about how he met his now girlfriend, Saloni Luthra for the first time. He had shared, "I had messaged her on Instagram as I wanted someone to create written content for my company. We knew each other since college and I knew that she writes well." To this, Saloni had further added, "I recommended him a few more names for content writing, but he said he just wanted me. Well soon, we realised with time that we were meant to happen and gradually fell in love, deep in love."
Avinash Mukherjee had also revealed their interesting proposal moment. He had shared, "Before I proposed to Saloni, I took her to Amritsar, to make her meet my mother and she is one of the very few girls, whom I have introduced to my mother. My mother understood what was brewing between us and they bonded well." Saloni had also talked about how her parents accepted the man of her life, Avinash "In fact, my parents allowed me to go on a solo trip with Avinash all the way to Amritsar, and that's the kind of confidence they had in us."
Further talking about the dream proposal, Avinash Mukherjee had shared, "I proposed to her at 4 am. So, actually, that time is known as the BrahmaMuhurta when Lord Brahma wakes up and I thought that was auspicious to propose to her. And guess what It was an instant Yes from her side too. So, it all worked for me. It is important for every couple to sustain their relationship. Be it knowing each other's ambitions to each other's needs etc, It's about not just staying together, it's about growing together."
Saloni Luthra, in the same interview, had revealed what had attracted her towards the very charming, Avinash Mukherjee, "Avi is absolutely old school and that is what I love about him, despite being in the modern era, his thoughts are rooted and he is very clear on his thoughts." Do you know, Saloni Luthra had no idea that her beau, Avinash Mukherjee is a big star? Speaking about the same, she had shared, "I was dumbfounded and quite embarrassed when she said she knew nothing about Jagya and Balika Vadhu. I was expecting her to know at least something about me and my work." She had further added, "I knew nothing about him and honestly didn't care much until he was The Rock. When I went to his place and saw so many awards, was when I realised that he was a big name. But that did not bother me because thankfully I loved him as Avinash and not as Jagya and by the time knew the real him."
