Avneet Kaur is a popular name in the Indian entertainment industry. The young actress started out in showbiz with the dance reality show, Dance India Dance Li'l Master and has not looked back since. Apart from television projects, Avneet has also starred in a handful of films. Recently, the actress was called out by a jewellery brand for frauding them.
On August 6, 2024, a jewellery brand named Rang took to its Instagram account to share that Avneet sourced some pieces of jewellery from their brand for her recent trip to Europe. In exchange, she committed to tagging them in her posts. The actress, who has a massive following of 32 million on IG, did not keep her side of the promise.

The jeweller brand shared several screenshots proving that Avneet indeed wore their pieces. She even tagged renowned brands like Dior and Vivienne Westwood in her posts but did not credit Rang in any of them. The jewellery brand further shared that upon first noticing this instance, they contacted Avneet's stylist, but to no avail. They mentioned:
"Throughout her month-long European vacation, Avneet wore our jewellery a total of seven times. Despite wearing RANG alongside high-end brands like Dior and Vivienne Westwood, she only tagged these luxury brands in her posts, misrepresenting them as the sole source of her accessories."

When Rang reached out to Avneet, she promised to create the required posts. Despite these guarantees, the brand mentioned that no such credits were shown. After several reminders, the actress made a payment offer for the items she had worn. The brand then sent her an invoice, but she was unresponsive to that as well for more than a month. Moreover, when Avneet received the invoice, she replied to her stylist by saying that she thought it was a collab, and now, she won't pay for it and would instead, post an IG story.

Rang further mentioned in their post that the actress' offer to post a story now seemed quite inadequate and non-beneficial to them. They also shared that this approach by celebrities exploits small brands and stylists. The jewellery brand penned a note along with the screenshots, which can be read as:
"As small brand owners, we pour our hearts into every piece and care deeply about our customers, the stylists we work with, and the celebrities who wear our jewellery. My hope is that by sharing this story, we can protect others from similar experiences. We need to support each other and stand against exploitation. This isn’t about naming and shaming anyone, but about speaking the truth."
