However, after being together for 32 long years and parenting two kids, Malia Ann and Natasha Marian, Barack and Michelle are reportedly planning to part ways. The divorce rumours received a major push when Barack Obama announced that he would attend Donald Trump's inauguration without his wife, Michelle Obama.

For instance, Barack Obama, in his memoir, A Promised Land, opened up about facing a lot of issues in his marriage when he was serving as the US President. The 44th US President penned a line that is now doing rounds all over the internet. His statement could be read as:

Barack Obama and Michelle LaVaughn Robinson met for the first time at a law firm in 1989. The couple started working together at the law firm, and after just one month, they started dating. Michelle and Barack went on their first date on July 1, 1989; the couple visited an art museum, watched a Spike Lee movie, ate ice creams and gave each other a good night kiss. After dating each other for some time, Barack popped the question to Michelle, and she accepted his wedding proposal with open arms.
It was on July 31, 1991, when Barack Obama proposed to Michelle LaVaughn Robinson for marriage. The couple went for a romantic dinner at Gordon's Restaurant in Chicago, and the politician transformed his proposal into a playful ruse. The politician told Michelle that he doesn't think there's any need to get married, sharing his doubts about the concept of marriage. The moment Michelle heard it, she went completely berserk. While she was slamming Obama for his views about marriage, a waiter brought a dessert plate covered with a lid, and when he opened it, there was a diamond ring inside it.
As soon as Michelle Robinson laid her eyes on the plate, she got emotional and started blushing. Barach Obama looked at Michelle playfully and went down on one knee to propose to his lady love. Michelle accepted Barack's marriage proposal, and later on, she learnt that Barack had already received approval from her mother and brother, which speaks volumes about his gentlemanliness.

Talking about their daughters, while Malia is a renowned film director in Hollywood, Sasha received a sociology degree from the University of California in 2023.
