Bigg Boss has been one of the most controversial reality shows. Salman Khan has been hosting the show since season 4, and his hosting style is unmatched. His stardom and craze is popular worldwide. The contestants may keep changing every season, but 'Bhaijaan' never changes. Salman declared Karan Veer Mehra the winner of Bigg Boss 18, while Vivian became the runner-up. Salman hosted the show reportedly for 107 days and now reports state that he would not host Bigg Boss season 19.
Salman's fan base is unmatched, and Bigg Boss fans love the way the actor performed his hosting duties. Talk about his wit, style, charm and leadership, everything is unmatched. He knows how to keep the contestants in check. However, on the sets of Bigg Boss 18's grand finale, he revealed jokingly that he wanted to take a step back from hosting the next season. Salman said:
"Meine 15-16 season host kar chuke hain…agle season nahi hoga mujhse. I am toh so happy ki aaj last day hai stage ka, I am waiting to lift hands and get done."
Salman cracked the perfect joke, it seemed and left everyone in splits. Fans think that the actor was in a jolly mood and knows the love-and-hate relationship he has had with the show. Bigg Boss is known to get all the famous faces of movie stars and celebs from the TV world. However, Salman has a different edge over the others. His identity with the show is well resonated.
Bigg Boss 13's winner was late actor, Sidharth Shukla. Salman had hosted that season as well and the Dabangg star had then claimed that hosting Bigg Boss often was stressful. Salman, in an interview with Mumbai Mirror, shared:
"Yeah, a part of mine wants to cut that part and throw it out and the other part wants to keep it. And the latter is haavi on the part that wants to throw it out.”
The actor has been associated with the Bigg Boss show since years now. When Sidharth and Rashami Desai's tea-flinging fight took place in the Bigg Boss 13 house, Salman was reportedly frustrated and had also told the creative producers of his wish to exit the show.

Salman Khan hosted the controversial show Bigg Boss 18 premiered on October 4, 2024. Salman had introduced Vivian Dsena, Karan Veer Mehra, Avinash Mishra, Chaahat Pandey, Alice Kaushik, Eisha Singh, Muskan Bamne, Shehzada Dhami, Shilpa Shirodkar, Gunaratna Sadavarte, Arfeen Khan, Sara Arfeen Khan, Tajinder Singh Bagga, Hema Sharma, Shrutika Arjun, Nyrra M Banerjee, Chum Darang, and Rajat Dalal. Digvijay Rathee, Kashish Kapoor, Yamini Malhotra, Edin Rose, and Aditi Mistry were the wild card entrants who were seen on the show later. Karan Veer became the winner of the season. His journey inside the house was not a smooth one. He took home cash prize of Rs. 50 lakh, which was the same amount that Munawar Faruqui had won in Bigg Boss 17.
