Bigg Boss 18 winner Karan Veer Mehra's bond with co-contestant Chum Darang was much loved while the show was still running, even earning them their own ship name, 'Chumveer.' Even now, with the season having drawn to a close, every glimpse of the duo together sends the internet into a tizzy. While most Karan and Chum fans are eager to find out whether the duo will take their relationship to the next level, Arunachal Pradesh has seemingly already dubbed the actor as their 'matey,' meaning jijaji. Chum recently reacted to the tag, and it was the cutest thing ever.
Recently, Chum Darang, a top five contestant in Bigg Boss 18, sat down for a candid chat with Instant Bollywood. During the same, the interviewer showed her a picture of the Arunachal Times newspaper. Chum instantly burst out laughing, stating that she was aware of what the interviewer was going to say as this image had already been turned to her.
The interviewer then highlighted that the newspaper's headline read, "TV star Karan Veer Mehra matey wins Bigg Bogg 18." She then pointed out the keyword 'matey,' which means jijaji. The interviewer then laughed as she said that Karan Veer was now officially the state's jijaji.
Chum Darang couldn't stop laughing while discussing the newspaper headline. She shyly tried to pass it off by stating that she initially thought it could have been a typo. However, the interviewer immediately stated that a major typo like that would likely not have been printed. Chum then stated that they had just laughed it off as it was cute but still funny.
Chum was then asked if she had shared the image with Karan, and she confirmed that she had. She had also explained the meaning of the word 'matey' and told him that people were calling him 'brother-in-law.' Chum further shared Karan's reaction, stating that he had sent her laughing emojis. Chum then cutely asked the interview, 'Ye kaha se mila,' which left the latter in splits of laughter.
