Television actress, Vidisha Srivastava made her debut in the showbiz world through her stint in the South Indian film industry. She has been a part of quite a few Telugu films before she stepped into the television screen with the serial, Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. Thereafter, she was a part of innumerable other television serials, such as Kahat Hanuman Jai Shri Ram. However, it was her stint in the sitcom, Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hein that gave her household fame. And now, the actress is in the seventh heaven as she hopped onto the parenthood journey for the first time in her life.
In a recent interview with ETimes, Vidisha Srivastava announced the arrival of her baby girl on July 11, 2023. The actress revealed that she had endured painful labour over 18 hours before she gave birth to her little one. She also added how after bearing excruciating pain for so long, it was the face of her baby girl who immediately relieved her of it. She mentioned:
“It was an 18-hour long labour and I was in excruciating pain. It has been a normal delivery. But the moment I saw my daughter, every pain and discomfort disappeared. Seeing my daughter in front of me felt like a miracle.”

Going further in the interview, Vidisha responded to the queries about the names that she and her husband, Sayak Paul has decided for their bundle of joy. She admitted that they have been thinking of various names, and are playing around with the name of Aadya. The newbie mommy also spoke about the relevance of this name and added that it is a synonymous name for Goddess Durga. Moreover, she highlighted that the name Aadya also signifies power and is also a synonymous name for Lord Shiva.
In the same interview, Vidisha spoke at length about her chances of resuming her work hereafter. For the unversed, she had been shooting till the last leg of her pregnancy, and she took a break from it just two weeks prior to her delivery. However, speaking about when she can be expected to return to work, Vidisha highlighted that for some considerable time, she will be spending as much time as possible with her daughter. In her words:
“I will be home for one-and-a-half months. After that, I will see how things will pan out. I will resume work maybe not regularly. I will go whenever I am required.”

For the unversed, it was on June 9, 2023, that Vidisha Srivastava had announced her pregnancy to her massive fanbase. To share the special news, the actress had dropped splendid pictures from her bold maternity shoot, where she could be seen flaunting her full-grown baby bump in sexy maternity clothes. From a red saree draped rustically to a white outfit, Vidisha’s pictures were totally unmissable.
