Being a mother is a full-time job and often a thankless one. God has given all the superpowers to a woman as she beautifully multitasks all her roles. Whether it is being a dutiful wife or a doting mother, a woman makes sure that she fulfills everyone’s needs keeping her dreams aside. While some are forced to keep their family and children above their career and aspirations, some do it with their own will. Bhagyashree had become a star overnight with her first film, Maine Pyaar Kiya. She had won a million hearts with the portrayal of a shy girl opposite Salman Khan. But despite the stupendous success of the film and being aware of the super-stardom knocking at her door, Bhagyashree had left Bollywood. Bhagyashree was married to businessman-turned-actor/producer, Himalaya Dasani when her first film, Maine Pyaar Kiya released. Soon after the film, her son, Abhimanyu was born, and for the sake of her family, Bhagyashree had quit acting.
Bhagyashree’s son, Abhimanyu had made his Bollywood debut with the film, Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota and had even won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. In an interview with Pinkvilla’s Dear Mom, Bhagyashree opened up about leaving stardom to raise her kids and her much-awaited comeback. Bhagyashree, who graced the show with her son, Abhimanyu was asked whether leaving movies was a difficult decision for her and she replied, “Yes, and no. A tough call because by then I had realised that I do enjoy acting and I was like I wish I had the possibility of managing both. But no, because he just took over my life. My entire focus and happiness were having him with me. At that point, it was not a tough choice. All that I wanted to do was spend time with him.”
Bhagyashree also revealed that it was she has no regrets of leaving her career because her kids were her first priority. Talking about her comeback, then the actress has signed a film with Prabhas and had begun shooting before the lockdown. She also stressed that her children kept pushing her to make a comeback as they were aware that acting made her happy. In an interview with Humans of Bombay, the lovely actress had talked about her love story and had stated, “We went to school together — he was the naughtiest kid in class and I was always the class monitor. We would fight all the time and the rest of the class would have a blast! We were like Yin and Yang — the more we fought, the more it became clear that we couldn’t be apart. We never dated though…he never even told me how he felt until the last day of school. He said, ‘I have to tell you something’ and then for one week he kept trying to say it but would always back out. Finally, I went upto him and said, ‘look, just say it…I’m sure the answer will be positive’ and that’s when he told me he liked me.”

In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Abhimanyu had stated that he had a normal upbringing and had never enjoyed the star kid status. Talking about the same, he had revealed, “People recognised me in public only when they saw me with my mom. They would then come and ask questions. I wasn’t even aware of it. I was brought up on a lot of principles by my parents. There was more pressure on me to be a good human being.
