Lawyer Gunaratna Sadavarte, got a lot of fame after he took part in Salman Khan hosted Bigg Boss 18. However, the advocate suddenly exited the reality show because of an ongoing legal case. He had become everyone's favourite in the Bigg Boss house and was known for his entertaining antics.
Advocate Gunaratna Sadavarte, had spread joy in the Bigg Boss 18 house and was known for engaging in deep conversations with the co-contestants. Undoubtedly, Sadavarte was an exceptional contestant in Salman Khan's Bigg Boss 18.
Advocate Gunaratna Sadavarte, is an exceptional lawyer from Maharashtra. He was one of the most fun contestants in the Bigg Boss 18 house, and was also the president of the Bar Association of 'Mat'. He was born in Nanded, Maharashtra, which is a city known for its uber-rich culture and history. The lawyer was born into a close community that shaped his values. His dad, Nivrutti Sadavarte, was in the police forces and was also a Bharip Bahujan Federation corporator. Due to this nature, a sense of responsibility coupled with duty came inside him from a young age. His dad Nivruti's principles of social justice and public service shaped his upbringing.
Gunaratna Sadavarte holds a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree. He has dual experience in medicine and legal fields, giving him a unique dimension in his law practice. He also has a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree, coupled with a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree and a Ph.D. in the area of Constitutional Law.
Gunaratna Sadavarte's wife, Dr. Jayshree Patil, is also a lawyer and has a Ph.D. in Criminology. Their love story started when they were pursuing an M.A. degree (1997-1998). The college sweethearts got married in 2007. Gunaratna and Dr. Jayshree have two adorable kids. The family likes to keep their life private.

In one of the episodes of Bigg Boss 18, Bigg Boss ordered the contestants to select one housemate to send behind bars instead of Tajinder and Hema. Bigg Boss himself nominated Chahat Pandey, while Avinash Mishra, Eisha Singh, and Karanveer Mehra got the right to nominate another contestant. The trio took the name of Gunaratna Sadavarte, which did not gel well with him. He refused to go behind bars, leading to a controversial moment in the Bigg Boss 18 house.
The Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa had found lawyer Gunaratna Sadavarte guilty of misconduct. The notice issued by BCMG was on February 7, 2023, as per a report by the Free Press Journal. His license to practice law was suspended for two years, as per multiple reports online. Earlier reports stated that the license of the lawyer was suspended because of his alleged misbehaviour. The disciplinary committee members had found him guilty under Section 35 of the Advocates Act of 1961, which emerged in suspension.
The BCMG panel had taken action after a written complaint was filed against, Advocate Gunaratna Sadavarte. It was alleged that he had worn a black coat with a band at social gatherings, including at a protest once done by Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) employees. The complaint alleged that misleading, "obnoxious" statements were made by Sadavarte. This was during the MSRTC employee's strike, and allegedly the protestors were misled.
Gunaratna Sadavarte had alleged in the Bigg Boss 18 house that during the rule of a government party, his life was in danger. Are you wondering how? Well, the lawyer claimed that a cop had given him secret information that he was almost on the verge of getting encountered.
Gunaratna Sadavarte has been getting a lot of love, ever since he exited Bigg Boss 18. He thinks that he is a real-life hero. During an interview with Times Of India, Sadavarte had said:
"I'm not a reel star; I'm a real star, and there's a big difference between the two. I have great respect for artists, and all the actors inside the show are aspiring talents. In my own way, I'd say, Woh log ubale chane hain, future heroes. I'm not well-versed in the entertainment industry, so the love I'm receiving from the audience is because of my personality, my beliefs, and how I speak about people. After all, ye public hai, ye sab jaanti hai."
Indeed! Gunaratna Sadavarte may have exited Bigg Boss 18, but he knew the art of balancing relationships, even during his short stint in the house.
