'Bigg Boss 19' Amaal Mallik And Tanya Mittal Land Roles In Ekta Kapoor's Series, Salman Khan Reacts

Reality TV show, Bigg Boss 19's most happening segment, Weekend ka Vaar, is here, and the November 23, 2025 episode is set to be very interesting. The host, Salman Khan, will welcome producer, Ekta Kapoor once again to the show. She previously appeared on another Weekend ka Vaar to promote her new television show, Naagin 7. This time, Ekta's appearance will have a different purpose. She will be gracing BB19 to scout talent for her upcoming project. According to the latest promo shared by ColorsTV and Jio Hotstar, Ekta has found her ideal candidates.

Ekta Kapoor is back on her scouting venture in Bigg Boss

Ekta Kapoor is set to launch her app, Balaji Astro, and has already completed its phase 1 testing. She appeared on the latest episode of Bigg Boss 19's Weekend ka Vaar to spread the word. Besides, Ekta had another motive to meet Salman Khan and the BB19 contestants. For the unversed, Ekta Kapoor has been picking some 'television-friendly' faces from among the show's participants for quite some years now. It has now become her ritual, and she didn't fail to do so in season 19 as well. Ekta directly offered Tanya Mittal and Amaal Mallik roles in her upcoming TV series, and expressed her desire to cast them as BB19 ends.

Ekta Kapoor reportedly offered Tanya Mittal the lead role of her upcoming project

According to reports, Ekta Kapoor offered the lead role in her new show to Tanya Mittal and instructed her to meet with her immediately after Tanya's exit from the reality show to discuss the details. Tanya was emotional and happy, as working in television serials was a long-time wish of hers. Recently, when her younger brother visited her during the family week, she asked for his permission to act in TV serials and was visibly elated on his approval. Now, with Ekta Kapoor's offer, Tanya was over the moon. She thanked Ekta and said that working with her was "a dream come true."

Besides Tanya, Ekta also picked Amaal Mallik as her upcoming show's cast. She presented a hilarious reason for choosing the duo, Amaal and Tanya. Citing astrology, Ekta said that Amaal and Tanya had 10 in their Rahu, and that such people could make the world revolve around them. What she basically meant was that the two BB19 contestants seemed bold and intriguing to her, and she would love to see them channel their energy into a TV series. Ekta's exact words were:

"Sir ke show se ek casting karna mera riwaaz raha hai. Two people, actually, who I would love to cast...one is not an actor, Amaal, and the other person yeh duniya pittal di, would love to cast you, Tanya. Inka Rahu 10 mein hai aur kehte hain jinka Rahu 10 mein, duniya bas mein."

Salman Khan had a sarcastic response to producer, Ektaa Kapoor's offer to cast Amaal Mallik and Tanya Mittal in a new TV show. As Tanya called the offer "a dream come true," Salman Khan made a witty joke at her expense. He sarcastically asked Tanya, "Lekin gareeb ladki ka role hai, kaise adaa karogi?" The remark left the entire house and the audience in splits. Salman's comment was a humorous dig at Tanya's perceived lavish lifestyle, which has become a topic of discussion among netizens since she appeared on Bigg Boss 19.

Tanya had time and again spoken about her affluent real-life background, including owning numerous factories, having a lift at home, and never stepping out without several bodyguards due to her celebrity-like status in her hometown, Gwalior. Coming back to Ekta Kapoor's TV series offer, there are whispers that the show could potentially be a future season of the Naagin franchise, Naagin 8, but the specifics of the project are not yet officially confirmed. Notably, Naagin 7's lead, Priyanka Chahar Chaudhury, is also a Bigg Boss alumna.
