Bigg Boss is one of the most popularly binge-watched reality shows to date in the Indian television space. And the man behind the voice of Bigg Boss has gained significant attention over the years. It is none other than a renowned voice-over artist, Vijay Vikram Singh. In a recent interview, the popular dubbing artist revealed how much money he earned from the show.
In an interview with Mamaraazi, Vijay Vikram Singh spoke about his fee from Bigg Boss and revealed that the show has given him a lot of opportunities. Vijay revealed that he joined the show in 2010, and it has been a tremendous journey for him. In his words:
“Mai ekdum naya tha, to unhone ache se nichod liya. Mujhe us samay jo paise offer hue the wo bhi theek hi lage the. 15 saal ho gaye show ko, maine teen baar raise ke liye bola, teeno baar ho gaya raise. Par maine bahut insist nahi kiya kabhi bhi kyuki mujhe pata hai wo show mere liye kya hai. It is beyond money, it is my identity now. So I don’t do that show for money. I do this show for the love of the show.”
Being the voice behind Bigg Boss comes with its share of ups and downs. The dubbing artist once revealed facing an extensive amount of abuse and trolling, even some direct threats to his family, after he had to announce the elimination of several popular contestants in the show. Speaking about the same in an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Vijay said:
“In the last two years, I have gotten abused so many times online for eliminating people. I keep telling them that I am not the one who eliminates, it’s the people’s votes. Secondly, I am not that voice. People have dragged my family and they start threatening them.”
Born in Kanpur, Vijay Vikram Singh is a popular dubbing artist. Before becoming a renowned voice-over artist, Vijay was working at an MNC as a Business Development Manager. He got his big break as a voice-over artist with the show, Dance India Dance, and since then, he has been a part of the dubbing industry. From running a show on the radio to lending his voice to many reality shows, Vijay has come a long way in his career as a dubbing artist. According to multiple reports, the narrator of the show, Bigg Boss, Vijay Vikram Singh, reportedly earns Rs. 10-20 lakhs per season.
