Sumbul Touqeer was born in Mumbai in a Muslim family. She is very close to her parents. However, when Sumbul was six years old, her parents decided to separate. Sumbul and her sister, Saniya Touqeer, chose to live with their daddy dearest, Touqeer Hasan Khan. Since then, Touqeer Hasan, who is also a choreographer in the entertainment industry, has raised his two daughters with utmost grace and sincerity.
Sumbul rose to fame with her stint in the popular daily soap, Imlie. Again, with her innocent and bubbly nature in the show, Ravivaar With Star Parivaar, the actress made a special place in the hearts of many. She had also participated in Did Lil Champs. However, this time, her presence in the controversial reality show, Bigg Boss 16 has hurt her father a lot.

In a recent promo video of Bigg Boss 16, uploaded by the makers of the show on their Twitter handle, we could spot Sumbul Touqeer’s father appearing on the show as a guest. He interacted with the housemates via video call and took the opposite to have a heartfelt conversation with his daughter. He said to Sumbul that people inside the BB house were using her. His father can be heard saying:
“I am scared of how pure-hearted you are. Look at how the world is. Everything is not how it appears. “Sumbul, you are being used can’t you see. Whatever is happening, it’s hurting me.”

Shalin Bhanot and Sumbul Touqeer’s closeness has been the talk of the town lately. In the same video, Touqeer Hasan was seen slamming Shalin Bhanot for making a tamasha of Sumbul’s friendship. He advised Shalin to take care of Sumbul as his daughter or sister. He said:
“She is very pure-hearted. But what did you do? You should think that she is a young girl and she is hugging you on day one. You should have handled her that way, like a younger sister. But tumne tamasha bana diya uska. I didn’t expect you to behave this way.”

Later, in the video, Touqeer Hasan bashed Tina Datta for spreading fake stories of Sumbul and Shalin’s closeness in the entire BB house. After that, Tina Datta looked shocked, and Sumbul was seen wiping her tears. Touqeer Hasan can be quoted as saying:
“You are such an experienced actor. I had thought you will handle her like a big sister. But you provoked Shalin and you told that story to everyone in the house. You never tried to talk to Sumbul.”
