Both Gates and Hurd are ardent tennis fans and were subsequently spotted in March at the WTA semifinal match of the Indian Wells tennis tournament. Following this, the couple was spotted together at multiple sports events. The duo was also spotted together last month, taking a stroll around the city. Five months after sources confirmed Gates and Hurd’s dating news, the latter was spotted wearing diamond ring on her ring finger. Paula was out and about in New York City with Gates when the pictures of her wearing the ring surfaced online. This created quite a buzz as fans speculated about the duo's engagement. However, all the conjectures were soon stopped as Gates’ spokesperson addressed the news.
The tech mogul’s spokesperson soon came upfront and rubbished all the engagement claims of the duo. He spoke to People, and confirmed that the ring that sparked all the engagement rumours had belonged to Mrs Hurd for over a decade. Now that the engagement rumours are out, the fans can’t wait for the two to be engaged. The couple remained a tight-lipped regarding their dating life. Apart from being spotted together at sports events or around the city, the duo has never addressed or denied their dating news. The spokesperson stated:
"Our office can confirm that the ring Mrs Hurd was seen wearing has belonged to her for decades."
