Popular comedian, Biswa Kalyan Rath, and Murder 2 fame, Sulagna Panigrahi, are the brand new parents in the entertainment world. The fun-loving duo is known for their quirky social media posts, and they keep their followers updated with every important milestone in their lives. Taking to Instagram, on May 25, 2025, the couple posted a fun reel, where Biswa is seen cradling the baby while he and Sulagna exchange a handshake in formal expressions, alluding to a meme they have used throughout their pregnancy until the reveal. 

Aside from captioning the birth of their baby boy as a ‘product launch’, the couple made things even more hilarious with their choice of background track in the post. For their boss baby debut, the couple chose none other than Big Dawgs by Hanumankind as the track. Sulagna also revealed the name of their ‘product’, Rushil Panigrahi Rath, while also mentioning that it was great doing business with her husband, Biswa Kalyan Rath. The caption to the post read:

“Product Launch Announcement!! Product first tested on- 07.04.2025. Lots of maintenance work was going on, looked like launch would happen only after 18 years, but somehow the founders found time! Introducing— RUSHIL PANIGRAHI RATH. Great doing business with you, @biswakalyanrath.”

Biswa Kalyan Rath and Sulagna Panigrahi announce their first pregnancy after four years of marriage

Biswa Kalyan and Sulagna’s relationship has always taken fans by surprise, starting from their hush-hush wedding during the COVID-19 pandemic to their surprising pregnancy reveal. On March 11, 2025, the duo shared a video featuring a series of pictures of them shaking hands. Each slide was captioned, 'Doing Business With You', and listed the number of years they have been married. However, the last slide was different. The last picture featured the duo once again shaking hands. But this time, the title read, 'Product launch coming soon', and Sulagna was seen flaunting her baby bump. The caption to the post read:

“Coming very soon….. either this financial year or next financial year.”

The new dad, Biswa Kalyan Rath, is one of India’s most celebrated stand-up comedians who made waves with his viral series, Pretentious Movie Reviews, alongside Kanan Gill. Meanwhile, the new mommy, Sulagna Panigrahi, is a renowned face in Indian television and cinema, known for her impactful roles in TV shows such as Amber Dhara and Vidrohi, and films like Murder 2 and Raid. She was last seen in the film, Vijay 69, where she played a key role opposite veteran actor, Anupam Kher.
